    Hey there!

I am looking for a Pegasus 1 system. Complete system or just mainboard + G3 module will do it. It should have the April 2 fix and 1 GB Ram.

    Thanks!
    Pegasos II G4 @1.0GHz, 1GB DDR Ram, Radeon 9200Pro, 240GB SSD+160GB HD, MorphOS 3.18, AmigaOS4.1 FE, Debian 8

Pegasos-1 can only take 512MB of RAM.

    @ KennyR

Mine has 1GB. ECC RAM too I think.

Have not had time to test that it is still fully functional though.

    Is it an ODW?

Unlike most Pegasos 2 boards, the Pegasos 1 can work with up to 2 GiB RAM with the right modules.

ODW was based on Pegasos 2, not 1.

    And the right motherboard revision.

Most of the Pegasos-1 sold by Pheenix were not of this revision.

I could only get 512MB to work, and many people told me I should have just kept to 256MB to prevent the hangs that still very occasionally happened even with the April fix.

Before I switched to ECC memory, I had similar issues with memory compatibility. Also, only using a single module appeared to be more stable.

Interesting. I was a Pegasos 1 user for 6 or 7 years but have not even been aware of the existence of different motherboard revisions (barring any pre-production, single-digit qty prototype boards, that is), just of the April fixes applied to what I thought was the one and only board revision. I can't even remember any discussion of this here on MorphZone or anywhere else. Is there a list somewhere of the different Pegasos 1 board revisions?

I was also a Pegasos 1 user, from the first unfixed motherboard, then I had an April 1 board, and then an April 2 board. Nobody ever talked about revision numbers of the actual motherboards back then, it was all about the April. I still today believe that this is where the changes were made, in the April revisions. The motherboard itself was short-lived, was produced in low numbers (and the same individual motherboards were exchanged/upgraded with April 1 and then later the April 2 fixes over time), and the Peg1 platform was kind of doomed from the beginning, so I actually don't believe they made more than one version of the actual motherboard, but of course, feel free to corret me with verifiable facts.

The Pegasos 2 OTOH was a completely different story! 5 revisions of the motherboard in total, was it?
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

    @granny

Unfixed/April1 boards weren‘t upgraded but later sold at bargain prices or even given away for free.

Glad I'm not the only one remembering it this way :-)

    Just curious, why?
    Historic value?
Peg2 is a better board, and the Apple hardware you have is faster than any Pegasos.

I want to have a small, fanless and quiet PPC system with MorphOS 1.4.5
I want to use it as a classic PPC/Warp3D machine as it is even more robust and compatible than the old classic PPC cards themselves.
It also has a nostalgic value for me, because it was my first MorphOS system.

Theres actually no other system that gives me these options. MorphOS >2.x is not as compatible as 1.x when it comes to Warp3D stuff, even on Peg1/2.

I have a Peg1 in my basement. April 2 fix if I remember correctly.
But I don't know anymore how much ram he had.
It was my first MorphOS machine😍
And the machine where I developed the GUI for BurnIt 3.
I don't know if I'm ready to part with it...

Alternatively, I would also be interested in a Pegasos 2 system with G3/G4

    Hi Cego,
I have a Pegasos II G3 (no Morphos key) and a Pegasos II G4 with Morphos key that I would sell. PM me if you're interested.

Da ich noch keine Antwort auf meine Mail bekommen habe, versuche ich es hier: Hast du mir das Geld für den Peg schon zurück überwiesen? Rechner ist laut DHL schon vor einer Woche bei dir angekommen.
