Booting from SCSI

    Hi,

Anyone experiences with booting MOS from SCSI HD?

I can see my SCSI HD in OF, I can see the partitions I made with MOS, I even can listing the files on the Harddrive. But booting works MOST of the time NOT!

    I have a PEGII/G4/512MB/QuantumAtlas10kIII/DawiControlUW-Controller/Radeon7500

SCSI-Termination should be correct. Tried different cable, ID-settings...

Booting from CDROM works correct, but needs very long to get to the butterfly-screen. When SCSI HD is not wired, then booting from CDROM is much faster. What is MOS doing after the "rotaing star" and before the butterfly appears?

Sometimes, I cannot figure out when, perhapes the weather?, MOS IS booting from HD.

What do you mean with broken? It's on the hardware compatibility list of MOS!

Must I really buy another one?

The 875 works.... sometimes. Apparently Symbios/LSI had different versions of it but labelled them the same, so some chips work out of the box, some don't.

    Sorry.

Will this be fixed? Or will the hardware compatibility list be updated to reflect the current status?
