Hi, just got my Pegasos II yesterday and
I am happy to report that AmithlonTV is
working well with my TV Card.

I have a PCI "WinTV FM GO!" tv card, the
audio works, FBAS, RF etc. It's cool to
play GameCube on the MorphOS screen.

Another great idea is to hook up an A1200 or
A500 through the TV card to play classic
hardware banging Amiga games without emulation. :)

Thanks to Guido for this great program!

    Awesome!!! :-D

Hopefully my TV card works with AmithlonTV. Is the driver for VHI Studio part of the install as I'd like to do some video capturing on my Peg!

Sadly, I've got to wait for a replacement CPU module for my Peg2. But if anyone out there has a TV card and VHI Studio (Not sure if VHIStudioLite supports the AmithlonTV driver) PLEASE try it out?!

    Yay! :-D

Also my Terratec TV Value board is finally working in my PegII!!
    But this is the situation:
    - Amitlhlon TV perfectly recognize the TV tuner and everything work well. One BIG problem: If I try to use overlay it crashes.

    - Visionary doesn't recognize the TV tuner, so I can use my TV board only for video-IN composite input. But if I select a TV channel with AmithlonTV and then I start Visionary my TV tuner remains sintonized on that channel so I can see TV with Visionary!! :-) Audio does NOT work but I have overlay.

If we could put togheter functionality of the 2 progs we could get 'one' 100% working tool... ;-)

I had CabelTV going with my TV-Card and Visionary on my Peg1 for about 6 month but since last week my TV-Kard is broken, so nothing special with watching TV with your Peg magnetic.

AFAIK TV card will work if you have PCI
gfx card and PCI tv card in Peg1, but if
you have AGP Radeon there is problems. The
PegII fixes this problem and the Radeon
and PCI tv card can co-exist. It's the first
time I have been able to use tv card succesfully.
I tried the VHI studio driver on lite version
but it doesn't seem to be working.

I was hoping the Amithlon tv module for VHI Studio would work. I suggest people email Felix s about this... he could sell alot more of this program if it worked with peg.

It might, but it's marked as "untested" on the site. It might also be a limitation of the "Lite" version. I do have the full version at home, but until I get a working PegII I can't try it out then. :(

Thx for the responses guys. Please try out the Amithlon TV driver to see if it works with full version of VHI Studio. If it does it would be very cool. I think it would allow capture? Also, has anyone tried it with Linux and Freevo or something?

I suggest we petition Guido M and Felix S to get this tv card capture functionality in VHI Studio. I bet it would sell alot of copies!

You can do one of two things.

    1. Just run the "video out"
on the GameCube into the TV card.
    Connect audio to audio in.
(generally need an adaptor for audio plugs)

    2. Use a GameCube RF adaptor and connect
the the RF in on the tv card.
Tune in correct channel. (3 or 4)

    3. Run the tv card's audio passthrough
into the "audio in" on your Pegasos
    to hear sound if required.

You can use any regular video source as input.
I am using the RF adaptor for simplicity. :)

    Thanks for the report Kelly.

What I'd like to know is if the TV Card supports VIDEO OUT as well? Do any tv cards work with their Video out on Pegasos?

Any idea if an ATI 128 All-in-wonder PCI card would work with Visionnary / Amithlon TV / VHI Studio ?

A friend would sell his card to me. I would try it myself, but he would have to mail it to me (we're like 500 km from each other).

    Thanks!

I can confirm the ATI TV Wonder VE PCI card works with Amithlon TV, at least on Amithlon.

I haven't tried it (yet) under MOS.

Only to advise, but not all the hauppage wintv go works with peggy.
I have buyed one today (and it is not so easy because these are an old
card) but it has not a conexant 878 chipset.
I'm "lucky" because it has cx2388x chipset and it is not recognized by
    amithlon or visionary.
    I have loss my money.

the brooktree 878, BT878, chipset is usually listed on the box.

try finding a computer user with one who wants to swap for a newer card.

Sorry to hear about this. :-(

Always be sure you see the actual chipset of cards. Its tricky business. Best thing to do is check threads here for what works and doesnt.

    Good luck

Which software is being used to test these TVCards? I have seen Visionary on a Peg during AmiWest, and I've seen AmithlonTV. (I'm guessing that they support a different list of cards.)

    AmithlonTV
    Visionary

So, are we talking about work with the Pegasos, work with software-A, work with software-B, or through MorphOS?
