    I won't upgrade to MOS E.4 until the new and compatible version of Pack Ultimate is out.

    OK, but if you already have an installed/working/modified MorphOS, say v3.2 or later, that has already been updated with the compatible "Chrysalis Pack v3.2", and then over-install MOS3.4 as a new installation, can you then install Chrysalis pack 3.4 without any issues, over the earlier MOS v3.2 + Chrysalis Pack v3.2?

    @NewSense,

    I advise you to launch Grunch to update your pack

    Another solution : do a backup of your old system (sys: partition) and do a complet install of MorphOS 3.4 and just after install Chrysalis pack 3.4.1.

    sorry i don't have others solutions.

    @WeiXing3D:

    a beta version is soon available here (uploading):

    http://www.meta-morphos.fr/download/pack/chrysalis_beta.iso

    Good size of the ISO is 660 434 688 octets

    Thanks for your returns

    You don't need to reinstall Pack Chrysalis with every MOS update. Just update MOS and run Grunch if you need to. The eventual programs that gets added to Pack Chrysalis you can install yourself from MorphOS Files. They can't be many if you have a recent Pack installed.

    I've made yesterday the update from 3.3 to 3.4 with an installed Chrysalispack - the update completed and it seems that the system is working very well. (G5) The 3.3 installation was up to date due to grunch. Make a backup and try the update - a rollback is fast and easy.

    Hi,

    Do we have an ETA for the final version of the packet?

    Does it include easier UAE configuration settings?

    Yes, there will be an installer script to install pack Ultimate 68k and an entry in Ambient menu to launch pack Ultiamte 68k too.
    You will need Workbench 3.1 files, rom1.3 and rom 3.1.

    Hi Papi, I mean, do we have a date for approximate release of your pack? Because I have to format my sys partition and before that I want to make a backup. So I need to schedule my priorities :)

    Nice to hear about finally having a structured installer for UAE support! I hope it will be a hassle free method which will enable us to launch whdload games out of the box!

    Btw, it would be nice if someone with knowledge could write a small guide with clear screengrabs, for 2-3 certain aspects which we all (want to) use under uae: 1) how to run whdolad games, 2) how to use Ambient folders as HD (same route as Amikit on WinUAE), 3) how to use hdf files 4) how to edit uae config file for input config (i.e. port 0 joystick, port 1 mouse etc) and how to edit butoon config (i.e. button A go up, S down etc).

    regards,

    Sorry but I got lost in my own thread, so is the final version of the new Crysalis Pack ready for download? Link?

    Is is then possible to update both MOS 3.3 to 3.4 and the Chrysalis Pack without having to re-install MOS for good?

    Maybe but maybe not. It depends on whether some paths have been changed or not. But that doesn't matter if you already got a working Pack C installed. Just use Grunch, it will update everything for you. There is no need to wait for a new pack.

    Hi WeiXing3D,

    Chrysalis pack for MorphOS 3.4 is uploading...

    the link is always the same:

    or
    http://www.meta-morphos.org/download/pack/Chrysalis.iso

    Good size is: 609 712 128 octets

    If you want to install the new pack and don't have problems, i advice you to do a backup of your system, and install the new pack after a fresh installation of MorphOS 3.4.

    Thank you for your response.
    Backing up my System partition is something that has been tricky and it has not yielded good results for me. How do you recommend doing it, just make a copy of it, or some other more elaborated method?
