    As reported by meta-morphOS.org.

Following a request to GPSoftware, Dr. Greg Perry was kind enough to make available DirectoryOpus 5.8 Magellan, the famous Amiga file manager. The company now offers his excellent software on Windows.

Here is the registration key: 4456BLJEM4616474390

    Download MagellanII_Install.lha (745 KB).

Visit the site GPSoftware to thank them for their generosity.

If this installer is in English, that would be nice. Wasn't the CD in German?

I don't understand the news either just like Andreas.
Weren't the sources bought already and a continuous effort for native NG versions being made? Wasn't Magellan included in Amikit already fully registered? What's the catch?

At least the installer of the full and registered AmiKit version is in English language.

Yes, and there have even been released preliminary MorphOS-native builds months ago already:

This runs surprisingly well for what it is.

    > Wasn't Magellan included in Amikit already fully registered?

    Yes, absolutely.

Redrumloa's link is an update package instead of an all in one installer. Maybe that's the difference?

    Doesn't seem so to me.

I just tried it and it told me I needed to have Dopus 5.5 or Magellan I installed first.

The link here seems to be wrong as of this writing and gives a 404 error.
If you go to Meta-morphos.org however there is a .zip file for this.

Edited : Looks like I was slow on this. Thanks :)

If anyone is having problems getting the installation to work it expects to install from disk. my workaround was to create the Opus55_Install and Opus55_extras directories on the root of WORK:
    assign Opus55_Install WORK:Opus55_Install
    assign Opus55_extras WORK:Opus55_extras

Extract the OPus*.lha files into the appropriate directories and then do the install.

No, as has been established in the beginning of this thread, it's the old m68k-native version which has been made freely available over 1.5 years ago.

No doubt, not everyone lives on these forums like some people do. There is this thing called life that some of us have to embrace, also there is a thing in the sky called a Sun, it's really amazing to behold, ya'll should step out and get a look at it for a change! ;)

The sun is real? Here I thought it was just a fictional entity invented for the Directory Opus 5 logo ;-)

Didn't they invent Windows so we would have somewhere to look at the sun from? :-D

...yes and then they turned Windows into an OS so you can take it everywhere you go enabling you to look at the bright DOpus Sun!
