    Is there someone who is able to assign the R1 button on an original PS1 joystick with USB adapter or any other joystick with L1, L2 and R1, R2 buttons available ?

    It seems there are only three choices for these buttons " Button play, button forward, button reverse "

    What's the forth one ? I need it to make "Nollies" with Tony hawk Pro skater :-)

    Joypad using joyll.dll doesn't work at all on MorphOS with the latest version here. It works with 0.10.3, though. Also cdimage.dll hits just like few years ago...

    Does anyone else have the same problem? What exactly happends? The only change in that plugin is the translation of rawkey codes to human readable text in the configuration dialog...

    Yes, have gotten reports about that. Strangely the call stack points to fopen/fclose, so perhaps it's an issue with the very old cross compiler setup and libraries I'm using (zerohero ones).

    I am still not sure how I get that R1-button to work on my joypad ... I can't assign it. And it's the same on 3 different joypads.

    Simple answer: You can't. lowlevel.library only support the buttons of the CD32 pad, which are fewer buttons than a PSX pad has. AFAIK there are no MorphOS specific extensions to handle more buttons, but please point me in the right direction if I'm wrong.

    Also, if there is any emulator/game/app for MorphOS which actually handle more buttons, please let me know which and I'll try to get in touch with the author and ask how it's done...

    That's a real shame, I don't see a point in using FPSE when I can't use all the important buttons on the joypad. I hope there can be a solution to the problem, it's very good emulator

    @Oepabakkes

    I think I've found a workaround. Download new joyll here. You need to configure Poseidon to map the buttons to two lowlevel ports.

    First set Port 3 of the lowlevel.library emulation to "Merge with USB" just as Port 1 already should be.

    Then add portmapping for the additional buttons like:

    Button 11 -> Digital Joystick | Any | Assign <some button> (port 3)
    ...

    After that's been taken care of, you should be able to configure joyll as normal, but now it should pick up the "B-port" events as well, and thus allow more buttons to be used.

    Only tested briefly on AROS, so the MOS plugin is completely untested (don't have any hardware to test it on anyway, so...)

    Forgive my ignorance but I'm not so much inside ps & ps joypad configs or assignments: I tried to set L1, L2, R1 and R2 with joyll configure panel and I pressed change button for each of them, obtaining an automatic configuration except for R2. So I have L1=button forward, L2=button reverse and R1=button play. R2 hadn't be recognised. I guess that's ok but since Oepabakkes wrote about different assignements I ask: was/is it possible to configure the real Ps(1/x/2/3/p) these buttons in different ways? I mean, buttonx+buttony, direction1+direction2+buttonx, and so on.
    I'm using a Saitek p380 usb wich works well on PMac MDD and is really painful with Pegasos (any buttons you press remain pressed though you release it).
    I'm using the joyll.dll inside the last release of FPSE, not the last one Amidog release in wip.

    set port 3 of the lowlevel.library ..... how do I do that ?

    edit: ok I found how to merge port 3 with USB in poseidon ... but then I am stuck.
