Replacement for the well-known system of systems AmiDock for AmigaOS 3.5/3.9. The author of the program is Robert "Phibrizzo" Krajcarz. The program was compiled under the systems of AmigaOS 3.5 +, AmigaOS 4.x and MorphOS.

And here you can see how the program looks under MorphOS (of course the red backdrop can be changed). The icons are animated and jump up and down as you move mouse pointer over them.

HI, great to see an icon bar like this, but unfortunately also here it seems not to work :-(
Don't know what could be wrong... something strange I noticed is "Copy the settings of the program to catalogues ENVARC: and ENV:" what is ment by "catalogues"? a dir?

OK, guys - it seems you need a little help here.

    First things first:
    1. Run BiBPrefs_MOS.exe
    2. Create new Dock (you need to specify name and then click "Add" button under "Dock" list)
    3. Add some programs to your dock (you need to click "Add" button under "Programs" list)
    4. Click "Save"
    5. Use the program! The dock appears when your mouse pointer is close to the bottom of the screen.

I did a quick test under AmigaOS4.1 - (MorphOS and AmigaOS3.x will follow...) and I must admit that this tool looks interesting. Am I right that I can cycle through the different docks with mouse wheel?

Any chance that a non-design-destroying way of incorporating configurable text (program names) into this dock? I like to have both icons and text for recognition of what I'm clicking on...

    Thanks Koszer!!!
I did the whole thing starting from running program first......ehm!
And I was pointing mouse at middle of screen (but this is the instruction in the guide).
By the way, really interesting and nice program. Let's see its evolution.
Note: if you enable the tooltype "STATIC" and you assign a value greater than 0, the bar will pop up
and stay. 1 means one second, 2 two seconds and so on.

Yes, and that's a great idea IMHO.

The icon scaling quality is horrible, can I change some setting or env variable to improve it ?

My only issue is that I have no Idea where to place the folder with the background graphics. I put the program in WBStartup, and since then it has no background when loaded.

The new docky is pretty cool, but I really would love to see something that doesnt look like the OSX one. Something new and revolutionary.

Ya, ha ha, MorphOS is looking a little more Mac like with this combined with how the system prefs work. :)

I did not understand yet where to put the bibgfx drawer and what it is for...? How to use it?

BTW, what I would also need is the possibility to add Bookmarks to the bar like it is possible which the actual bar. It's quite a usefull feature.

    Regards
    Christoph

The bibgfx/ resides in program drawer and contains backdrop used at the back/bottom of the dock (by default - the red one). You can edit/replace it as well as add left and right end to the backdrop, i.e. to make it more "leopardish" - as seen here.

So in other words, launch it from User Startup as opposed to dropping the executable into WBStartup.

I understood now how it works. thanks... I noticed though that Icon scaling isn't very nice, please have a look at:

    http://www.rmsvideo.ch/morphos/mos_28/

    user: rms14@dmz.local
    pw: rms4234

    - boingikonbar_nosize.png (tooltype commented out)
    - boingikonbar_size_3.png (tooltype size=3)
    - boingikonbar_size_3.png (tooltype size=4)

As you can see, that if the tooltype is commented out then if the icons do not ave the same sizes they are displayed at different sizes on the Ambient screen, which is normal, but not very nice to look at.

The Icons I used in this Icon bar nearly all have 64x64 pixels but some have less, like YAM, Buringsoftware, and Hollywood, others have more like AE4, so if set to size=4 then the smaler ones get upscaled but this doesn't look nice and if size=3 then al get downscaled and here ale it doesn't look nice. Seems like there is no antialiasing...

The same icons in MorphOS panel, scaled to 48x48 pixels lookl like this:

    - morphos_panel.png

    perhaps this could be improved?

There would be also a feature which is missing, at least for me, whic is to be able to add bookmarks like it is possible in MorphOS panels. Please have a look at:

    - morphos_panel.png on the right a menu opens to choose the bookmark.

Otherwise it looks promising to me, though a bit macos like, but nice :-)

    Regards

    Christoph

Or copy the .info file only to WBStartup, set type to project and default tool the real executable

    My two cents:

    - Give to your prefs MUI window an ID => let the user snapshot the window size and position
By default it's a bit short in horizontal...

    - Refresh bug seen when mouse wheel used.

    - Possibility to move programs from one dock to another one in prefs (than delete + add)
    by using drag&drop.

    - let more than one pixel detection at bottom (user configurable)

    - how to gently kill the application?

    - as christoph says: better icon resize engine (AA)

    - dynamic background graphics changes using prefs.

    - dynamic add/remove app from the dock using D&D
    And now... next project!

Hi, something else I forgot to mention, in Prefs, the possibility to move up or down added programs, a kind of sorting.
    Thanks.
