There seems to be a problem with installer.
Font Andale32 can't download , Host not found?

Nothing else seems to download either after that.
Just accepted all the defaults settings but nothing happened.

Seems the problem I had was due to my internet config on MorphOS.
Not sure why yet but I'll look into that when I have installed your new package.

Seems to fail after all the packages are downloaded and installation tries to take place.

Restarting produces the same error.

Maybe not enought space on harddisk to download all files ?

Try to download each file manually to ram with OWB:

After, launch installpack, select ram: for download destination, select always ok when it possible (installer see each file already present in ram:), after extraction begin.

I was downloading to ram.
I have 1 gig, should be plenty judging by the file sizes.
The system shows there was plenty of ram left over after the download finished.

I'll download the packages one at a time using your links below.
Maybe one of them is failing part way through.

Will be later on tonight though as I am in work at the min.

Success.
It wasn't the packages that needed downloading again but the install program.
I remember this happening in the past now.
If you use the wrong install package with the others, that's the error message that occurs.

It's almost like the link to the new install program is a bit late updating to the latest package.
If I try download the install program a day or two later, the problem goes away.

I really must try and remember this for next time.

I take it you removed polynet from launching automatically.
I remember you saying you were going to and it isn't there now.

Doesn't appear to be a Comms draw with amirc, jabberwocky etc.
Is that right?

In fact, i have removed PolyNet at startup, i have replaced it by CRABUM.

About Communication software, i have moved them to Network drawer (there is all softs need Internet to work).

About installer, when i update pack, i must update installer because size of archive is different (installer script compare archive size before extract it).

Apologies, found Sermonatrix, hadn't used that one before so overlooked it.
Polyglot also found.
So that's irc and msn covered but not Jabba.

I would reccomend that sermonatrix came with a few servers set up as default.
At the very least, connection to #morphos would be very helpful to new users.

Bitlbee would also be good as this can connect to most messenger services.

About Sermonatrix, i will see to add servers by default.
About VICE, i never use it, I have just install MorphOS version.

Is there an option for upgrading from an earlier version of the Pack Ultimate, or is it still intended only for installation on a clean install of MorphOS2.7?

no sorry amigadave, there is no upgrade option.

Pack ultimate must be installed on a clean installation of MorphOS 2.7 registered or not (for news users for example).

Each version of the pack have many many changes (reorganisation, scripts, paths change, etc...).

I'll put a list together of when the French shows up.
VICE should just work so I don't know if your package has a corrupt version.
I'll download it separately from it's home page and see what happens.

Every icon and and folder will bring up a mix of English and French when right clicking on it.
More French when clicking on an icon.

Just downloaded VICE from Aminet and that worked fine.
Looks like a corruption with the version in the Ultimate Pack then.
