hi there im confusted about if amiga os 4.0 will be comming to the pegasos or not i just has readed that amig ais til not letting the os be proted to the peggy and others say its comming to the peg. so what true and whats not. personaly i like to see Os4.0 also on pegasos. ps what about aga emulation is that possible on the peggy and will it be in later versions of mos???

OS4 is not being ported to peggy "about me" cause it is not finished. I think, in a first time Hyperion will finish a first version for AmigaOnes.
Then, if genesi pay the license, so this system may be ported to peggy. About me, Aos4 will not be ported to peggy, never. And I'll not cry I LOVE Morphos.


But you can do retroengeniring in your bedroom and port AOS4 yourself to your peggy


AGA emulation = NO
If you want to emulate AGA, you can use a UAE with AGA emulation.

The only possibility about me, is in a far futur some facked screenmodes like in picasso drivers. But I dont think this feature will existe.

The dream would be a PCI card with all A1200 chipsets I remembre an old project of amiga emulation in a PC with an A1200 in a PCI card, but this project is DEAD so this is just a dream.

But a Big question is here !
Does genesi and Amigainc signed an agrement for this portage?
Genesi people says YES and Amigainc People says no.
Something is not clear.

ple: won't do any good cause there simply ain't any old A1200 era chips left for making those boards. Post-commodore companies have allready emptied storages.. and new classix chips are not worth (or technically possible) making so you'll better accept the future.

Klapdeur: Biggest hindrance on NOT seeing OS4 to Pegasos is politics between companies. Eyetech would lose their ONLY sales point if OS4 would be available to better and cheaper alternativies. Technically there is no reason why it could not appear within months (most likeluy sooner) after it's been made to AmigaOne.

For Aga emulation.. Possible, of course, assuming someone has will and interest to do it. Essentially what's needed is finding Someone to fix UAE.. it works on Mos/pegasos but it's Aga emulation ain't that great.

Just wait and see. Currently, it doesn't matter to anyone, since neither Peg-2 nor OS4 for A1 are available at the moment. Certainly it will be out for the A1 a short time before the Pegasos version, to not offend Eyetech too much. But I'm very certain we will see OS4 on the Pegasos 2 someday as well.

No, Ifurita from "El Hazard", one of my two favourite Animes (the other one being "Saber Marionette J").

Unfortunately, for about three, four years now I've not had the time anymore to maintain this former hobby of mine. While back then Animes were still a rather exclusive hobby here in Germany, meanwhile it became more popular. Runs on several TV stations now, but I don't even manage to watch them due to lack of time.

PS: I just got inspired of this avatar exchange by seeing Tokai's new avatar. Most likely I'll change it back to my standard one very soon.

the problem is, AGA on a PCI card won't work. The memory addresses would be 100% wrong. The only way to make it work would require a re-direction emulator, as was planned in Commodore.
