    Hello all,

i have realised a pack of software, emulators, games and more for MorphOS.

This pack aims to make MorphOS fuller and more attractive.
To install this package, you must unzip the archive on a clean installation of MorphOS to avoid problems.
Think in advance to make a backup of your system.
If you want to make your participation in this project, please feel free (icons, wallpaper, software, translations, etc. ...).
Feel free to also give your suggestions, comments about this pack here or at:
    papiosaur2 @ hotmail.fr

Download Ultimate Pack v1.5.1 (210 MB or more 400 MB uncompressed) on the following link:

    www.meta-morphos.org/download/Pack_Ultimate_151.lha

Good setup and remember to support developers of software for MorphOS

I don't get it; why does it contain things already on the ISO?

It contains only the drawers for most applications on the ISO, often in double-state png icon to show the related apps. I only found OWB and ShowGirl.
There are other applications/files not present on the ISO image that could be useful for a newbie, making the whole thing (I mean installation of those others) more painless.

    @ CISC

in fact the software list below corresponds to the programs
accessibility by category since the launch bar PolyNet.

OWB is version 1.6.1 with flash plugins
    ShowGirls is version 1.2

thanks for your feed back ;-)

A very nice package, but I ran into one problem.

If i keep the 2 skins "BlueMarineSkin" and "GreenGlass" in my SYS:Prefs/Skins/ drawer,
I'm no longer able to open any MUI preferences.
The Log Server just pops up and gives me an "Illegal Instructtion" error.

I don't have a clue why. Could be a missing datatype perhaps?

Otherways. Thank you very much for a superb compilation!

    @Jalla:
it's a mui.prefs file problem. My mistake... sorry! Try to erase that file inside the respective drawer and try again. That file should search something there is in my hd. I will check this in the next days.

@Jambalah: You was right. It works now. Thank you!

I had to delete "BlueMarineSkin/mui.prefs" and the "Presets" drawer inside it.
In the "GreenGlass" skin there was only the "mui.prefs" file to erase.

    Hi sadddam!
...er... yes it was me.... =)
I made the same mistake with mossie skin (yes I'm the one!) and I became crazy to understand what could it be.
    A sort of revenge...... =)
Sadly I still read "DEAD" near your Peg signature.... =( I hope Powermac could (sooner!) save this situation. I've just bought a PMac g4 board, payed 9,9 (6.60 euros) us dollars (sometime you find good occasion on ebay... :-) ) and searching for a cpu card (almost find a G4 1.8 ghz.... ouf!). I will assemble my PowerPeg by myself, with the look I will choose ;)
    Don't stop!
    @jalla:
Here you are the modified .prefs file for GreenGlass & BlueMarine, plus three ambient backgrouds:
    ForGreenGlass.lha
Remember to place .prefs files in "SYS:Prefs/Presets/MUI".
For any problem, let me know.

Thanks Alot! This is a great service to the community. Just be sure it doesnt break any OS stuff like before ( this is why many Morph team guys are adverse to these kinds of "unofficial" packs"

Oh and maybe eliminate redundant archives that are already on the ISO per CISC

    Muy impressivo.

This pack really makes all the difference when setting up a new system. Both as far as finding all the software as well as setting stuff like Polynet up which I still havent gotten around to doing properly. :)

    @Jambalah:
The modified file (ForGreenGlass.lha) still causing me same problem.
It's caused by one or more of the included prefs files.
MUI preference crashes on any apps after installing it.

    BTW: Nice backgrounds!

I would argue that if something is usable it should be included in the pack assuming the version is higher than the version on the iso. Or do the version on the iso get more thorough testing?

Another question related to the pack: do you just collect these programs, the latest version available, and then lump them together or you do test and then maybe even decide to include some older version because it's more stable etc...

I installed it last night and it is an impressive and elegant addition to the system. The icons look great and its all really well organized.

Fired up the UAE from your pack two nights ago and was really impressed with the Amiga emulation... some games that never worked on OS X (Obliterator) and some that worked poorly (Wings of Death) work virtually like you are running them on Amiga 500! This is absolutely where the power of MorphOS comes to full shine!!!

Haven't had time to try any other stuff yet...

Aahhhh! A nightmare :-) Well... keep on checking...
Since I had problems with error blocks in my SYS hd partition, could it be files are corrupted or whatelse?
First, when I chnged skins and/or MUI prefs system debug showed errors and now it doesn't.
Try to erase the skins and let the .prefs files or viceversa. I will erase and/or modify mine and will save them again to see what will happen.
Thanks! I'm glad you like backgrounds! I hope to realise more.... If I'd solve this mistery... =)

Actually.. I got problems with errors in my sys hd too. I risked it all by just selecting all files and clicked repair without backup. And it worked out pretty fine. (all my important data are saved in another partition).
