    Hi,

I have the problem that I'm not able to read attachments from one of
my customers which sends them from a mac.

The attachement can be any file, e. g. a jpg or a doc etc, when I try to
double click on the icon on Ambient (it's a txt icon BTW) after saving it
from the e-mail to the hd the text reader opens and the first line is:

(This file must be converted with BinHex 4.0)

Has anyone any experience with this, can anyone help me here? Is it
possible to setup something in Ambient to decompress the archive (if it is
    one of course)?

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards

    Christoph

There are some utils on Aminet that should be able to convert those for you.

Thanks for this info, it did it!

Now could support for BinHex 4.0 be included directly in MorphOS?
It seems that mac users use that a lot.

Most email clients worth a damn should decode it automatically....

.. to be honest I've not seen BinHex used on a Mac since the dark ages (before OS X). The world moved to 8-bit MIME a hell of a long time ago.
