There is a LaTeX port included in the ancient MorphOS SDK, maybe it fits your needs.

Hmmm... I think, I know, why AmiWeb2c and unixtex-6.1 (from MOSSDK package) can not work under MorphOS. Our version of command "ls" produces incorrect (for TeX' library kpathsea) file database "ls-R". For kpathsea drawer's name should be "./drawer:", but ls makes "drawer:". I'll try to make ls-R using Niktarix, may be TeX will work with this database.

Because of my son (he is an enthousiastic user of Latex under Linux) I'm trying to make a simple Latex-editor with Muibase. It works now with only text (no graphics). I direct the output as a text-file to ram: and then, with the help of copy and paste converted the file on http://dev.baywifi.com/latex/Default.aspx. Oke, that works fine.
I tried Pastex to do it on my PegII, but until now, no succes. Are there any hints?

    Regards Tom

I want the posibility to insert pictures in my Latex-files and therefor I need a working program....
Somehow it must be possible to get a working program.
(BTW. the Latex-editor in MUIBase is now wordking for text only)

Well, AmigaTeX works fine. See here (part of my Pegasos review From Genesi(s) To Revelation, 2004) and pictures therein: picture1, picture2.
I purchased AmigaTeX in 1987 directly from Thomas Rokicki, the author. Years ago AmigaTeX was distributed freely for a while on the author web site. Unfortunately it is no longer available.
I can provide you the free archives, if I find them.

    Hi!
Well, PasTeX is no way, try SDK's TeX. You just need the gg: assign

    Work:MOS_SDK/DevEnv/usr/local/itrans53/doc> latex tech.tex
This is TeX, Version 3.1415 (C version 6.1)
    (tech.tex
    LaTeX2e <1994/12/01>
    (/gg/lib/texmf/tex/latex2e/base/latex209.def
    Entering LaTeX 2.09 compatibility mode.
    (/gg/lib/texmf/tex/latex2e/base/tracefnt.sty)
    (/gg/lib/texmf/tex/latex2e/base/latexsym.sty))
    (/gg/lib/texmf/tex/latex2e/base/article.cls
Document Class: article 1994/12/09 v1.2x Standard LaTeX document class

Thank you very much for your help. I found Latex in the place you mentioned, but I'm just a humble user that sometimes have some silly ideas. How to start the use of Latex from Shell? I have an assign to SDK (the normal one) Is this enough or do I have another assign?
What to type in the shell to have at the end a pdf-file?

    @Dr. Morbius.
That looks very nice, but I'm just a musician (like my son) and this is for my daughter so she can write in an easy way her work in Latex. She isn't as much experienced in computing as is my son. But he works nowadays on Linux and Unix. His PegI is now standing somewhere in a dark corner of his room

Just use Snoopium if something goes wrong.
Well, a classic TeX doesn't know PDF, you also need my tool
    http://aminet.net/package/text/tex/dvipdfm

    Good luck!
