Does anyone know if Foundation runs under MorphOS 2.0?

I've never succeeded to run my Foundation Gold on MorphOS (1.4 or 2.0). It hangs on loading screen with landscape after you've done your selections.... But some other people have reported that Foundation has run on 1.4.5.. so why wouldn't it run on 2.0 in that case too :) But if anyone knows what's the problem running it, please tell me.

    @ magnetic:

you need vapor_toolkit.library (I'm using 15.14 PPC) and
    vapor_update.library (version 5.2).
Voyager asks some MUI classes, too:

    Texinput.mcc
    Texinputscroll.mcc
    Listtree.mcc
    Busy.mcc
    SpeedBAr.mcc
    SpeedButton.mcc
    TearOffPanel.mcc
    TearOffBay-mcc
    Popplaceholder.mcc

Reinstall what is missing and try again.

FX Scan 4 Only works correctly when you downgrade the queue-handler to the one included in Morphos 1.4.5.

Otherwise Betascan will complain about an error in communication. (I've already reported this with the bugtool.)

Reading those growing lists of SW that works and not, under which circumstances ans side-effects makes me see that it is time for a Wiki functionality for this forum. Just enter a new line for a tool you want to know whether it works or not, and somebody who uses it will check that out and fill in which additions are needed.

Concerning PPaint 7.1 (Efika, MOS 2.0, Radeon 9200):

When editing the palette, any attempt to change the value ("V" slider from "HSV") of edited colour ends up with loosing it (even the slightiest touch of slider makes it black "0,0,0").

Anyone has the same? Is this Morphos 2.0 - specific?

Oh, I hadn't noticed that earlier (I'm oldskool RGB man ;). It seems that "hue" is out of it's limits for many colors and that causes problems for S and V too. If you first tune the H where it should be, then S and V works too. In many cases it seems to be enough to make just one step adjustment to H slider first.

Annoying little bug. I have no idea why it bugs, but it does the same on MorphOS 1.4.5 and 2.0. With Peg1/R7500 here.

@jPV I hope you don't mind, but I would very much like to disseminate your findings on the software to post in the FAQ area.

    Blender worked ?

    I can't get Blender 2.46 on my 2.1 setup.
I installed Python and the 2 required libs are in the morphsys system libs directory, but all I get is an Shell window.

Oh... it seems tht Blender only works from shell (or launched from some other application as amigados command, like I did). It crashes here too if I try to run it from icon!

Make a script file which you execute from Ambient if you want to run it from icon. For example like this:
rename Blender.info as Blender-start.info, create new textfile called Blender-start and add line "run >nil: blender" there, open icon information window and select "script" attribute.

you can run blender from icon. i have 2.46 (2008.06.11.).
a shell window will open and a screenmoder req. no crashes here.

Currently, I am still working on a compatibility list based on this thread. However, the emulator list is a bit short, only having (MAME, Frodo, GenesisPlus, FPSE, and VICE) included. Has anyone tested further emulators? (UAE, HU-GO, etc)?

And what category ScummVM belongs. At least it works.. installed 23 games for it for fun just recently :)

    Urgent request!

I really need a list of compatible programs to install on my EFIKA which I am going to use to demonstrate MorphOS2.1 at the AmiWest show next weekend. I have a friend that is coming to my house on Thursday that can help me get everything packed to take on the trip and can also help install and test software on the EFIKA.

It is a good thing that I have a flat floor in the back of the car to lay down in during the trip up to Sacramento and two extra drivers, or I would never make it. Strong drugs will help too.

Emulators: a couple that performs nicely on the Efika is snes9x and GenesisPlus. BasiliskII, too, for Mac Classics. Here everything depends on which SW you have access to.
GFX: grab Blender 2.46 (you'll need also Phyton to install it, and then you should download some example files/scenes from the Blender site, too, so that you can just open a ready project). You should find also the old Cinema4D for 68k Amigas, it was released on some coverdisk, and works nicely. For 2D, download TVPaint, it has been released, and PerfectPaint. Of course mplayer and copy some videos (maybe even install Tubexx to download them from YouTube). ShowGirls and Sketch are already on your SYS: partition, and are pretty nice indeed. For vectorial drawing, give a try to SteamDraw.
Internet: Sputnik is already there, IBrowse works, SimpleMail and YAM too, SabreMSN and PolyGlot, too... AmiTradeCenter.
Audio: AmigaAMP (68k version) - it's very nice to mix plugins for 68K, PowerUp and WarpUp and show them working simultaneously-, AmiNetRadio and its plugins and players, SongPlayer... If you have some time to download it and set it up, the good old DeliPlayer works using the 14bit noteplayer by Chris Hodges (you have to setup the Genies, chose this one as favourite and disable Paula).
A few games: blitzquake and glquakemos by kiero are pretty fast on the Efika. Download and install the WiprOut demo (don't forget to install Goa3D and lowlevel, you can find them among the contributions in MorphOS itself). Homeworld is very nice if you have it on the PC (you need the original game installed on a PC). Also the good old 68k DynAMIte. You can easily get hold of the Payback demo as well... And of course Virtual Grand Prix 2.

Happy installing/testing. I'm sure there's more but these were the first things to spring to mind (and I tested most of them also on my Efika, so I know they are going to work).

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

I haven't gotten to the demo list for the site yet, but there are a few scene-demo's listed in this thread that would be nice for show. If you (amigadave) are away from the table for a spell, having a demo (or game) running is always better than a plain desktop screen.

Thanks guruman, but where can I find those files to download?

I will probably download and install a few tonight and a few more
tomorrow evening before I have my helpers pack everything into the car.

We will be leaving early Friday morning so we can get to the hotel by
noon, or shortly after as I will have to rest before I can sit in a
    chair for the banquet dinner.

I'll do my best to represent MorphOS2.1 and the EFIKA for all of the
rest of you here, but don't expect too much as I have not been able to
play with my EFIKA much since I got it several weeks ago.
