That is great the webpage and his software is back. It's a shame that he has decided to stop coding for Amiga though.

He should not let the trolls influence him. There are hundreds of legitimate users that will suffer because of this, not to mention the upcoming Denub USB 2.0 card, which will suffer from a lack of software updates and/or bug fixes.

The trolls definately won this round.

What never stops to amaze me is that people who actually don't have a clue about some matter or me in particular, still take advantage of every opportunity to expose their "wisdom" and anti-knowledge.

I'm in Canada so its impossible for me to know what is going on in Europe, I only know what is posted in this forum.

    So.. what happened? :-?

Anyway, good luck with whichever new project you get involved with! :-D

I can't believe this thread became so mean and lame byt some persons! Instead of being happy because the PSD pages are back online, we say stupid comments about mr. Chris Hodges...
did any of you thought that without PSD neither our classic or even MOS would have a 98% complete USB stack? This alone should make you out of respect for mr Hodges to not write anything offensive here.
and yes, some are VERY BIG PLAYERS in our little amiga-world, I did not see any new WORKING/GOOD USB stacks appearing after 68k support was dropped...

    :-x

His experience, his knowledge, his talent, his person, his software - *all* very much needed, *all* very much welcome, and as things are today *totally* indispensable!

As are many others as well!

I am very sorry to see the attitude of some people posting here, and I agree to Chris that "What never stops to amaze me is that people who actually don't have a clue about some matter or me in particular, still take advantage of every opportunity to expose their "wisdom" and anti-knowledge."

I just hope that Chris and other important people has the ability to forgive cluelessness and ignorance like this. There is no crime in being ignorant and clueless, but these kind of comments can have very far going consequences if we are unfortunate.

    Sure, I agree with you.

BUT I don't agree for the reasons that Chris decided to abandon the Amiga scene. If you really love something, and love to do a lot of things with it (Amiga), then I know from my experience that you don't just abandon it for x-y-z reasons so easily.

I think that Chris must put everything down, think with clear mind and then decide what he wants to do.

If anyone wants to leave the Amiga scene, then it's his problem. I am not that type of guy that he'll say "Please don't abandon us, we need you", etc.

    Kind regards,
    Antonis

    @ Robin

As I said before. I admire (really) Chris' job about the USB mass storage classes for Amiga/MorphOS, and believe me, without them, I don't think that I would ever use my Pegasos right now. Everybody wants Chris to stay at Amiga scene, including me.

Maybe you misunderstanded what I wrote before. But as I said before, I beg noone to stay. If he wants to leave entirely, then good luck whatever he will do next.
