We need some advice in using the serial outout on MOS.

A friend used to use an Amigas (with Amiga Software)
to remote controll some industry manufacturing devices.
The robots are controlled over the serial device.

We want to use a Pegasos with MOS to replace his aged Amiga.

The 68k software run on MOS but somehow the tranmission does not work.
The robot expects a fixed 56k baut rate.

Is there something to mind in using the serial devie in MOS?
The MOS serial sytem speed slider only goes to max 32k.
Does the system setting be set to 56k to work or should the application be able to do this itself?

Can someone help us to understand this.

    Many thanks in advance

Serial prefs in MorphOS goes to 31250 baud like it does in AmigaOS, so that's probably not the issue, applications usually ignore this setting and configure the speed of serial.device themselves. The amiga apps I've used with serial.device under MorphOS have worked fine here so far, of course the app will need to use serial.device and not try to access the amiga hardware directly.
