IS the Gui for the UAE out yet?

Just use RhLaunch, works fine.

No instructions with it... It does NOTHING at all when i click it

look in the other topic aboput UAE ... you have to downbload some muilibs and it all works fine.

When any program behaves like that there is always Snoopium which you can find in your system and it tells you what files are missing. This is a great way to find out what's the story if some software is not running or running not propely.

See this is the problem. In order to get an easy configured uae you have to troll forums, download and install files, etc etc.. it really should be built in to ambient or something by now.

No, it wouldn't make much sense to provide 3rd party software like UAE in MorphOS.

And again, installing uae and binding a mimetype action takes less than 5 minutes if you read the *readme*. It's not rocket-science.

I got RHLaunch working. But i find that UAE gives me slow downs (uses too much CPU) when used with RHLaunch and the same settings as though it was launched from Shell.

Do i need a CPU upgrade (i have a 466Mhz G4)?

Or shall i wait for a new version of UAE with improved speed?

It's more or less the reason why I sold the Efika.. to slow for emulation what I am concerned. You could try to overclock the 466Mhz to 533... lot's of info about it on google.

New version or PPC-Jit ... not sure if it will happen.

As for slowness of UAE - I really doubt porting newer versions will end up in speeding it up - rather the opposite. What we really need is a PPC-JIT for UAE. There's a bounty going on here (it's primary target is OS4.1, but the code itself would be opensourced, so we could as well use it). But - as you can see - this bounty is still unassigned (that's not an easy task so it can be very difficult to find a programmer willing to do this - at least for this money).

I supported that bounty twice ... and hopefully other will do the same. Maybe it's enough in 2 years or so ... time will tell, and for the meantime I think putting a fast cpu in the powermac is the only solution.

Doing a little search and just asking inhere just went fine I think ?

binding a mimetype action ... I think I need the read soe manual because I don't understand what that is honestly.

Check Bonus/readme.morphos, you can find mimetype actions in ambient settings under Mime, locate application/x-adf there and edit as required.
