How much do you need paint application for MorphOS? What features it should have?

    Hi Stefkos :-)

Just have a look at TVPaint, clone it, make it use MUI, add more than 1 undo-level, more than just 3 layers and you have the perfect paint program.

    I agree :)

My favorite is PPaint, so I could say the same about it. :) (Ok, I know, it starts, but it is almost unusable without AREXX, text writing and on-high-res-ugly gui.)

    @ Stefkos

I fully agree with Gelb, more undo-levels and lot more layers but also CMYK support so one can paint etc. directely CMYK images. Also to be able to use a callibration system, like littleCMS or so AND something very importand to me to be able to use graphic tablets with pressure...

    Regards

I agree with Gelb and rms, a TVPaint clone with full support for a graphic tablet.

How about doing a Photogenics clone instead? :-)

I just like the way you can paint any effect (and change the effect on-the-fly)

Then you could add support for multiple paint layers, each of which can have its own effect... So that you can see the changes made by ALL layers, in which ever order they're in.

Oh, I also like how you can undo parts of your drawings with RMB.

It looks like in file/picture from attachment now.
Remember that GUI/app is still not finished.

p.s.you must be logged in if you want to see it.

Seems MZ has some weird attachment management. Better put the pic elsewhere and provide a link.

Wow.. finally you decided to go public ;-)

    @all

The paint app has grown from _very_ basic painter to a pretty good imagemanipulation program .. when Stefmeister manages to finish some tools it will come very handy to some people.

    Hi stefkosmos,

Nice paint app! I still watch Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" series and your app qualifies as 'star stuff'!
    Hmmm, the 'KosmosGui' sounds interesting!

Mine as well - and it wouldn't even have required to be cloned and a whole new program written from scratch, but just any developer willing to turn it into a native MorphOS version...

I wish a paint application with support of gif animation.

It's just an idea, but it can be useful, no ? ;)

Thanks for your work as always. I would like to see animation added - something where brushstrokes can be recorded as an animation or so...

I also realy like Photogenic's effect painting, that would be cool to have in this app, combined with the above would be killer.

Does MP have a possibility to freely move each object after drawing it? I mean moving in x-y axis and depth arrange managing on a single layer.

p.s.it's possible now to move layer, but not by using mouse

    Hi stefkosmos,

I dream about a photoshop clone for layers management.
Pixel32 seems to do things write, but unfortunatly it's a buggy application, and SDL is not the best way for best speed. So, if you should do a Paint prog on Photoshop spirit and working on MUI natively, it should be fantastic.
I like your Layer menu shown on your grab ;-)

I dream about a photoshop clone for layers management.

I donn't really know how Photoshop layers work, but I imagine that it's maybe very complex system.

Last time a have an opportunity to paint a couple things on Corel PhotoPaint (not a "high tech" app as the Photoshop is known) and there is a simple but very handy system which lets to manage all the already painted objects. I don't remember if there was a layers system at all, but even if not, such system of treating particular painted things as objects would be a good substitute.

Have you consulted Kiero on any of the programming? I would really like to see a "Lightable" feature for the layering... Also I hope there will be multiple undo as well.
