    Hi,

I had some trouble compiling some apps (SDK's gcc throws an internal
error at me), and I was told to use CISC's gcc (Fab could compile the
    same app with it).

Does someone know where to get CISC's gcc?? I've tried to google for
it, but since "Complex Instruction Set Computer" is a quite common
    hit...

I will try to compile it with the gcc present at the MDC, which is
    based upon CISC's gcc.

you don't seem to know but, hmm... CISC is a developper of the morphos team, and not a kind of artefact from another world :)

and so, many sdk update on the mdc website are provided by him ;)

I knew he wasn't some strange artifact (artifcacts don't post
messages, right?), but I didn't know he was part of the MOS dev team.

Well, depending on your problem that might not work...

F.ex. C++ (templates mainly) is known to be somewhat b0rken with the GCC in the SDK, unfortunately my GCC build (that used to be available on morphos.org) has been removed by Zapek, so to get it you must find someone that can send it to you (and if you do, replace the g++, cc1plus and libstdc.a binaries (and you MUST remember to disable/remove the GCCRESIDENT envvar!)).

..and don't forget to run the libnix update, it will fix several other issues with the SDK (stacksizes, missing includes, badly placed libs etc)!

    @CISC:

    erm...

may I ask you why your fixed c++ stuff isn't included with the GCC compiler of the mdc?

May you provide the sources to zero-hero so he adds C++ support to his Win crosscompiler?

Because it isn't residentable, and at some point we'll have to release a much improved SDK altogether anyway...

AFAIK zerohero's crosscompiler IS based on my sources (which also used to be available at morphos.org), why it doesn't support C++ I don't know.
