Two questions in one:

1st) Does someone know a par2 checking/repair utility that works
under MorphOS?

2nd) Did someone ever tried to compile the par2cmdline
(http://parchive.sourceforge.net/#clients) client? I get a funny
error from GCC telling me that gcc failed unexpectedly and please
report the bug...

I just gave it a try. It compiles flawlessly (didn't test it though as i don't have any par2 files).
Anyway, your problem is probably a wrong c++ compiler. The one coming with the SDK could throw such internal errors. I suggest you install CISC's gcc and you should be able to compile this utility as well. Unfortunately, i don't remember the link to his gcc. :)

Does someone know where I could find CISC's gcc?
Could you (Fab) please post the binary for par2 (just to have the tool until I get my hands on a "working" gcc?).

Whether it actually works or not, you'll have to see for yourself. :)

runs about 30% faster under MOS than under debian).
