I'm really disappointed with Grasshopper LLC. they really sold me a bill of goods and don't respond to repeated attempts to contact them. They claimed that Pagestream for MOS was in BETA, but that it would run although it may not be stable. So I ordered it and downloaded the Beta, which was test files with no executable. I made at LEAST 5 attempts to contact them with absolutely no response.

I know they are a very small company, but this is just ridiculas.

I have always been satisified in the past and already own Pagestream 4 for Amiga 68k and have been very satisfied, but they really dropped the ball here.

    Save your money...

I had the same problem. Ordered PS5 and all I get was access to some test files. Ok, you can also donwload 4.1 68k but this isnt working here too. No answer to my questions.

Better buy some bottles of beer or take your girlfriend to a diner.

    @matt3

Here some info's which Deron has sent by beginning of May 2005 about PageStream for MorphOS, so be patient it's coming!!!

    ********************************************
Just want to give a short status report.

I've got two of the four libraries compiled and tested (in fact, if someone wanted to test it, I could upload a MOS PPC native version of the OS Test library and program but I'll have more in another day or two). The other two are written but not compiling yet. The next library is the most platform specific and mostly compiling. The last library has very little platform specific code but has a number of dependencies (FreeType, ZLib and LittleCMS)

Lastly, I'm looking for a python implementation that will allow PageStream MOS to execute python scripts. The first full release will not include
python scripting if I have to port it myself!!

    @ all

BTW the more user's buy PageStream for MorphOS the more Deron will be encouraged to speed up it's release!

AND I'm working 8 hours per day with PageStream (for now the Amiga version 4.1) and it's realy a GREAT GREAT GREAT piece of software and worth waiting for.

    Regards
    Christoph

I'm using it also almost every day. On my work I've to work with Word but that 's always a struggle for the documents I want to make (complicated papers for my pupils). So I make that sort documents mostly of the time at home with Pagestream. I seldom read the f*** manual because you seldom need it to use Pagestream...
    It is so intuitive.....

    Cheers, Tom

:-o wtf ??? are you sure about that ?
censorship on the PGstream ML ? that's harsh ! thanks for the info, this kind of behaviour cannot be accepted. :-(

Complaining on the support ML is not the right place, it's for
    technical questions.

I really do disagree about the way it was sold
before it was ready, I bought it myself over a year ago in the belief
that it would be released in a matter of weeks, when it turned out the
porting had not even begun yet. Now a lot (most, hopefully) of the
work on the MOS port has been done, but it's still not in a useful
state and that's something prospective buyers should know.

The 68k version works mostly here, there's a problem with some
    missing text in requesters though.

I just bought the MorphOs version of PageStream, been using it for years on Amiga though so I am not new to it.
