Open Source Java..?

    According to This Article on zdnet, the Apache Foundation has proposed to make an open source Java JVM project. Unlike other attempts in the past, Sun seems to be warming up to the idea this time around. Who knows? This could very well lead to Java for MorphOS?!

    I don't not trust completely on Genesi, said a lot of not done promises. It could be nice a fully JVM/MVM implementation supporting latest java stuff...

    Why do you even use a Pegasos, i dont hear many ood things fom you that often.

    the apache foundation and coders have a lot of experience with java programming. if anyone could pull it off it would be them.....or the people who make Jnode.
    but you all have to keep in mind no real results (for the users) will show up any time soon.

    Did anything ever come of this? I mean in general and not MOS, obviously we don't have Java.

    Still not possible, even with a beefy bounty? It would be nice to have things like stock broker's trading platforms on MorphOS, plus all the games our wives' like.
