FreeNX is a free (GPL) implementation of the nxserver component. NX is the next-generation X compression and roundtrip suppresion scheme. It can operate remote X11 session over 56k modem dialup links or anything better.

Could be very good make a NX client for MorphOS. It can be encapsulated the RDP (win 2k/XP/2k3) protocol and the RFB (Remote Frame Buffer, the VNC's protocol), so why not make some "Ambient Remote Protocol" and use NX? ;-)

And I personally think that NX could be very good for things as Avalanche ;-)

I think, the main problem with the remote MOS desktop is, that MOS doesn't support multiple users well. The other OS's have correct multiuser support, so multiple users can run their programs, see their desktops at the same time at the same computer.

There already exists VNC which is cross-platform capable. If I understand correctly, this program is for the X11 protocol only, which MorphOS does not use.

No, It can be used with other protocols...

And this uses a lot less bandwitch that VNC...

What about the other way around? I'd really like to have the peg-screen on a windows machine....
