Hi,

Maxon does not sell the Cinema 4D version for Amiga anymore.
The last Amiga version was Cinema 4D V5. Around 1999, Cinema 4D was released for free on a Amiga-magazin CD.

Today I spoke with the Maxon people and asked them if they would offer the Amiga version for download on their website.

They agreed that if people wanted them they would
release the Amiga version for free
but unfortunatly they have moved houses
and don't have the old software versions anymore.


Please help them to release Cinema 4D for Amiga.
If you have an old Cinema version please contact them
and send them the binary so that they can release it for free.

If you want them to release it to the Amiga community
please contact them (phone/email) and tell them that you like this idea.

At least I have the CU-Amiga release...

But afaik, it's missing something (Tutorials, perhaps?)

If people have it to send then I guess it would be nice to see it on the site for others. If they dont even have the binary to release for Amiga on their own whats the point? Its likley they dont have the sources any more the update the software. We need to start getting new stuff made for the platform. I will admit to thing being a good start though.

I see many advantages:

Even the old Cinema 4D Version was great program.
Releasing them for free will give us one
more good programm to use.

There are quite a few very good older Amiga programs.
Releasing those lost treasures will help our community a lot.

If Maxon will make the binaries available for download
and if enough Pegasos/AmigaOne users will download it
maybe they will consider to offer newer version for the Amiga as well.

I think the latest amiga verion was 4!?
I my opinion never exist a verion 5 for amiga.

I have the full version4 from maxon gmbh 1998 and
cinemaXtensions here.

Good point there. i hope someone can upload the full version to them so it can be posted for all of us. Does it even run on the Pegasos?

As Maxon told us meanwhile at amiga-news.de, this is not true. There won't be a free download of the Amiga version of C4D.

I just spoke with Maxon Computer on the phone.

It looks like I misunderstood the Maxon Management.
I was now told that they will NOT release Cinema 4D.

I'm sorry for any trouble this misunderstanding might have caused.
