    ok i am probly going ot get yelled at for this but it hink i should post it anyways. LINK if genesi wanted to make a good partner have solaris on the pegasos, sun is looking int o the power archatecture......this could help get some cash flow into genesi.

    Well i know its used in a lot of high end stuff. One of the computer navigation systems on Us Navy ships and majot cargo ships use a version on sun workstations/servers to run a navigation chart system. Its cool. I would think the Pegasos would be a natural choice for a PowerPC partnership with Sun.

    If scalability is their concern, I fail to see how a Pegasos with a single G3/G4 processor is going to be of much use.

    I think this could be a good idea as well. though i think sun is makeing a mistake by porting solaris to so many platforms, it will make SPARC sales less much much less and it is to bad they are very good processors, after all sun was the first company to use a dual core processor.
