    Hi folks

I know there are people out there using PSA on MOS1.4.2 but how have you managed it?

When I click the icon it brings up the screenmode requestor (all 8bit modes). All of the modes work initially, but about 3 seconds after the PSA screen and windows pop up it automatically shuts straight back down again! There's nothing I can do to stop it.

    Anyone...?

    TTFN!

Do you have any 8bit modes in your System settings > mode edit?
If not try adding a couple.

You should try to change the File AHIinOut.

You can find the file here.

That file was already in PSA/Drivers/ but I downloaded the verison on the net and replaced it. Same version but the newer file was Earlier in date.

It makes no difference. PSA still starts then quits.

Perhaps we have to wait for a new version of AHI (Is really bugdeg this one...)
I've tryed a some Music Software but no-one works...AmySequencer,HD-Rec,AudioEvolution68k and the new DigiBooster and also SamplitudeOPUS...
Everytime that I load samples files the software crashdown! :-(

hmm, well the only one i really use is SoundProbe. This works but is somewhat "odd" under MOS. The graphs refuse to draw, and the waveforms themselves take forever to "compute" but then draw in a fraction of a second. Other than that it appears to work ok though I havnt tried it for recording only manipulation.

Still remains that other people have PSA working fine but I cant get it to for some reason.

As to 8bit screens (one of the other poster's comments) I have about 8 in my list and each of them successfully displays PSA but PSA still quits some seconds after startup. Its not screenmodes at fault.

"I didn't do anything! It just works!"

And I'd say I have quite "typical" morphos installation, can't see why it wouldn't work on your Pegasos...

A little bit offtopic maybe, but in reply to Elektro: Quote:

You could try SampleZ, which is a wonderfull freeware sample-editor that works without any probs under MorphOS. It's a bit basic, but does support MP3 input and is great for basic sample-editing :-)

I use SampleManager, which works great
on MOS and is still supported by the developer.
