    Hi,

    Just tried MonkeyIsland 1 and Zak McKracken with these versions.
    Unfortunately the same loading problem occurs.

    I did have some problems running the MOS and WOS versions with Monkey Island 2 (I've got the 11 disk version).

    Saving is not a problem but loading just freezes the game.
    I tried the same with the 68K version and that works.

    Bye,

    Hi tomjoad,

    I love Scumm!!!!!!! :-D:-D

    (had to say that)

    As you noticed, I corrected the not working games-part in the second post :-)

    You mention that MOS is now version 0.5.1, is that the version we can download from the Scumm website (it states 0.5.0, hences my question :-))

    Bye,

    amidi - Uses the MorphOS MIDI system, for MorphOS users

    What is this? Some internal midi driver of MOS?

    BTW: Does the MOS0.5.0 version run the CD-version of Beneath a Steel
    Sky (on the page mentioned earlier). It just crashed here, so I am
    wondering if someone got a trick to make it work :)

    Well, I do allready have the 0.5.0 MOS version

    Last published MOS version was 0.5.1.

    but it does have a kind of a GUI. Maybe something to consider for ScummVM MOS 0.6.0?

    ScummVM features a launcher screen since IIRC 0.5.0 - it should appear automatically if you just launch it without any arguments.

    It does - use the PC VGA version.

    You need the FM-Towns 256 color version.

    Hi!
    I was able to play "Curse" till the end with the last MOS-port...
    At the beginning there was a problem with the cannons, but
    everything else worked....
    (as default Curse opens with some scaler-routine, which blows the resolution up to about 1280x1024 (or similar).
    There's a hotkey to deactivate this....
    bye

    @Dholm

    Oops :-) Well, I do allready have the 0.5.0 MOS version (dloaded it from somewhere else though), but I will give this one also a try. I have tried the WarpOS version, wich is version 5.1r2. Doesn't seem to work all that well (only managed to run DOTT; other games crashed rather hard) but it does have a kind of a GUI. Maybe something to consider for ScummVM MOS 0.6.0? Further more, the WarpOS version claims to run Curse of the Monkey Island...darn, if I only could find those cd's! Ah well, good excuse to clean out my room ;-)

    Just read that all files need to be in the same directory, so I copied the files from the directory "Rooms" into the root-dir.

    Zak McKracken and Monkey Island 1 work now :-)
    But, no sound at the moment.

    Hi everybody,

    I just downloaded ScummVM V0.50 MOS-version from that site (a TGZ-file) and also Beneath a Steel Sky.
    BASS doesn't work. SCummVM complains about the sound.
    I've also tried the following disk version games (just copied the files into 1 directory):

    - The Secret of Monkey Island 1: doesn't work :-(
    - The Secret of Monkey Island 2: Works :-)
    - Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis: Works :-)
    - Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders: doesn't work :-(

    The games that don't work have a different structure as the games that work. The working games are numbered from 000 to ....

    I've read that Zak McKracken does work. I'll go read again on the site :-)

    Bye,

    Spidey

    Beneath a steel sky and Flight of the amazon queen are freeware, so i guess that could be bundled ;-)

    These MorphOS version is the crap SDL version, why use these ####?

    One thing that i could like too is a launcher that can be added screenshots, the solutions/guides, various versions of the game on the same game section (by example, zak mackracken and the various versions, monkey island 1 and the various versions...)...

    I use the one from the Amiga ScummVM site. The Curse of Monkey Island is still broken, I played that one in Linux using a CVS snapshot. The Dig worked perfectly in MOS though.

    Hmm, that's strange; what version of ScummVM-MOS do you use? And did you mean The Curse of the Monkey Island? It would be gold to get that one running under scummvm

    Yeah, same here (I was able to get out of the town before it crashed though ;-) ) and The Dig wouldn't even start, but hey, that's not a very good adventure anyway :-)

    I'll get the files up here shortly. I wouldn't mind helping get the vale back, as I liked the layout and feel of the site as much as the software.

    the site from tomjoad is unfortunately down ...
    so i cant give you a working link. the only thing we
    can to is to upload this lzx file to morphzone if
    tomjoad has nothing against this idea and targhan has
    enough webspace.

    why untar? the last archive 0.5.1 i have is a lzx.
    make your you have the executable flag set!!
    take a look with "list scummvm" ... if it is not set
    than type "protect scummvm +rwed"

    r = read
    w = write
    e = executable
    d = delete

    Until easter??? *whaaah* don`t say that`s true.
    I am such an impatient person... ;D Ok I was
    just kidding, good luck with your contest :-)

    For VNC there is a vnc server for Amiga OS,
    AmiVNC
    But I have never tried it, don`t know if this works on MOS.
    The other defently won`t work, because it is a Picasso96 only thing.

    Nevertheless even if you have vnc running you still need of course a data connection.
