For regular Forwarding, Iris extracts the text of html emails, it does not even attempt to retain formatting. If you want to retain the formatting, your best option is to use 'Forward as Attachment'.
When replying, you have an option to keep original HTML (if present).

"Hu!
123
4555
abc!"
And what do I receive?
"Hu! 123 4555 abc!"
I just checked this with Thunderbird under Windows, here it works corrctly. So, my mail provider is fine.
And it is thr same if you answer any mail: formatting will be destroyed.
Please, just do also this test and tell me, if it works for you. Thank you!
