    Pixel32 with a ODW could be very nice (collaboring testing FPC and then porting Pixel32), and Paul Nolan with ODW could be nice too! ;-)

    PS: Demoscene guys has ODW?

    @bbrv:

    send him an email ( paul@idruna.com or info@idruna.com ) and ask if he's interested. :-)

    He also made a linux version of photogenics (only for x86 atm.), so you could hit 2 flies with one hit when he could get hands on a peg: LinuxPPC version and MorphOS version of photogenics.

    @FALCON1:

    I don't want to release an FPC to the public until the recent compiler is less stable than i did released as alpha version. There were lot of changes & advancements since that, but that always destabilize things a bit. The situation is improving anyway. There are a lot of other units ported/created, AHI/Intuition/CGFX/etc so it should be possible to port Pixel32 i think. No MUI support yet, but Pixel32 has it's own GUI engine anyway, so MUI couldn't help a lot in this.

    I can support the developer of Pixel32 with a recent versions & urgently needed bugfixes of course. Since it's a big & very useful app, it should have priority.

    Yes, Chain-Q is doing an amazing work, thanks.

    @Chain-Q

    Actually it can be used libraries and devices? And what about networking and USB?

    Hi all, I was reading this forum so I'm writing you a message to let you know that I'm really excited about MorphOS, I would really like to port Pixel32 to this OS and also test FPC compiler. If you have any technical questions feel free to ask me by mail or ICQ :)

    Also that would be great if Genesi can donate Pegasos computer for development, because I can't afford that now and seems that MorphOS really needs decent image editor :)

    regards, Pavel Kanzelsberger

    Why vote? New programs for MorphOS in native form will be very good for the platform, Pixel32 is very interesting, and a platform needs apps for survive. You can develop the best OS of the world, but without good apps then will not be sucessful and then will die soon...

    Bbrv, any reply about this? I think that Pixel32 for MorphOS could be very interesting, and Photogenics too. As you said a lot of times, it's good have different alternatives(or something like that) ;-)

    Well compiler must not be 100% to make first release, I'm using only system library from compiler and other stuff is written from scratch. And by trying to compile Pixel I can help FPC maintainters finding and fixing bugs related to MorphOS.

    PayPal doesn't support my country so the only way is purchasing Pixel32 with Kagi e-commerce. About 25-30 sold copies will make enough money to buy Pegasos but I wonder if I release MorphOS version after that, if others will buy it also :)

    So isn't it possible to donate one Pegasos computer by Genesi?

    regards, Pavel Kanzelsberger

    @kanzels

    Sure it is possible to donate a Peg to you, but .... (you just have to
    hate my "buts" don't you ?).

    In the early days it was mainly returned Betatester/April1 boards
    exchanged for Pegasos1-April2 boards that were given out for free by
    Genesi.

    That has stopped now, since Genesi can't afford to just hand out
    dozens of 100% o.k. Peg2-boards while they can't even handle demand
    by paying costumers.

    But.... (you'll like this one)
    Freescale (aka Motorola) is buying Peg2-boards for the purpose of
    selling them as ODWs, and some of those are given out for free.
    The best part is that Genesi has some influence on who gets those
    ODWs.

    So it is more complicated to get one, but you'd get a full sys in a
    nice case if you get yourself approved instead of just a board.e

    Ok, I understand that ... but what am I supposed to do? Can I fill some form for ODW? I'm new to MorphOS and Pegasos community, so I don't know where to look for...

    You should contact with bbrv I think. Either here in private message, or at bbrv@genesi.lu (BTW: MOS/PPC releated problems in FPC CVS just got fixed :-D ).

    first alpha is out:

    Latest news

    January 24th, 2005
    Released first alpha version for MorphOS in members area. Registered users please read restrictions and e-mail me any bugreports. As this is first release for PowerPC, it needs heavy testing and there are still some Endian and video byte-order issues.

    Have anyone tried Pixel32? (on any platform)
    How good is it, let's say, compared to free soft like Gimp?

    Anyone tried the MorphOS version? Is as fast as the already available paint programs for morphos?

    Have been fiddling with the demo on arch-linux "wombat" (x86).
    -Due to correspondence with "Kanzels", I discovered that my libsane.so.1.0.15 prevents Pixel32 from launching.
    -My workaround, to break the libsane.so and libsane.so.1 symlinks prior to running Pixel32. Then restoring the symlinks so I can still use my usb scanner in GiMP

    Now I am no Jim Sachs nor am I a Cecilia, yet I think I may like this program.

    maybe you could provide me an example task, and I will try it in pixel and gimp and give ya my opinion
    I am ; therefore you are
