I've been a bit busy lately, so there was little update. A new preview is available now though:

    http://snews.vim.hu/morphosskin/ambient6.png

Besides the complete background/dock changes (that has nothing to do with the skin :-)) there are now images in the buttons - don't know if you like them or not. The depth gadget is still lacking - and there is a new checkbox image as well. That's all for now.

I like the softer dimples on the checkboxes.

Now, I think the first skin is ready.

    preview

I'll compile an install from the skin, the MUI buttons and MUI settings soon. And in the meantime I started to work on the second one, but it's still very preliminary (and even in it's early state contains a bug - even the only new button has been positioned too low :-)):

    preview of skin 2

What's with the REALLY small screensize?

I keep seeing these silly little 800x600 screenmodes that are pants to work on ;-)

Boost it up to minimum 1024x760. You really cant show a system off these days without space and moderate sized icons.

Hmm, myabe thats the thing - maybe u do have a large screenmode, but the icons are way too big? make em smaller!

    :-)

Oh, and I prefer skin 2 to 1. big time. but i think 2 is too dark.

    TTFN :)

(hopefully helpful critism, not nasty critism! )

Don't want to ruin your argument, but it's 1024x768 :-)

Thanks to Ambient, system wide icon resize is just a matter of a few clicks - but I like it this way :-) Anyway, we have way more space than the megalomanly skinned OS4 grabs have. :-)

If you'd be so kind to test the skin before I'm uploading it to MorphZone:

    SpaceStation Skin Download

Bug reports are welcome. Based on Aaron Diezman's Sky skin installer, I owe him many thanks for the permission in the readme :-)

    EDIT

Damn, the preview image remained the same. Reuploaded the archive.

I was about to report the wrong preview ;-)

The skin really looks great :-D
I just need to find out where the
MUI files are copied ... cant find the radiobutton
    in the selection window ...

    Edit:
    (ups ... found after a reboot :-))

It does look nice, however I don't like how all the border gadgets are identical on inactive windows.

Is the Dock in the preview transparent, or did you do a little trick???

As I've already answered in the Gallery :-): Well, to be honest, that's just the impression, it's fake transparency, achieved via textures. I did them with showgirls.

And a bug report to Targhan:
In the Gallery the post numbers are incorrect. In Browse all it shows 1 post when there are 2.

Uploaded the preview into the gallery, and submitted the skin to the download area as well. Now, how it was with my second skin... :-)
