I encounter problems in "System preferences" menu. The graphics in some areas are not normal. Anyone with the same problem?

    @ Phantom

The only problem I've found is that I get an error in time prefs. That's realy all so far. I didn't notice any other strange things...

Do you mean statement "Failed to create preferences class" for: URLText, TheBar, SpeeBar, Calendar, Lamp and other classes?

Now (since april's beta for some classes from above mentioned) it is impossible to set preferences for these classes...

I think it was recently mentioned on IRC that some mcc's are not compatible with old (public) MorphOS 1.4.5. Try replacing non-working ones with older ones.

    @mobydick:

just install morphos versions of crawling.mcc and lamp.mcc and most of this prefs classes will work again.

    get older versions from here:
    http://www.zerohero.se/mui/download.html

if there is lots of interest I'll maybe make a release of latest versions of these both classes, but else I'll not bother. They will come with MorphOS 2.0 anyway.

TheBar, Calendar and Urltext were updated to work fine with MUI4. Get them on my hp (http://alfie.altervista.org) (even if some date may say they are old :P).

If this is part of MorphOS 2.0, and MorphOS 2.0 is closing in to being released, then this MUI release should be stable and quite polished already. To those of you who has downloaded and tried it - does it feel like a close-to-finished release?
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

the only thing i can say it that it seems lighter than the previous one (and under MOS for PowerUP, every little gain is recognizable)

Obviously after installing the latest Alfie (thanks btw..) classes, replacing the clock class and so, it feels very, very well.

What a change in the sittuation: Only days ago, we were all complaining about the lack of information and updates to MorphOS. Now, we have a nice updated feature list, and even videos (all thanks to the Alchemie party). And what's more, we have "leaked" components of the forthcoming 2.0 version.
It is acceptable that this components behave badly - they are for MorphOS 2.0, not the current 1.4.5. In fact, it's a very pleasant surprise that there are ways of making them work in the current version. It does say something about a good general design underlaying.

All buttons became invisible since i installed this version. I was using an older one before, not the previous. For example, take a look at here:
    http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=muiprefsoa9.jpg
The buttons on the "horizonal scrollbar" and "vertical scrollbar" boxes are there but not visible. :-?

try to check the object/images files named "radio**" in "SYS:Morphos/Prefs/muigfx/<your selection>" folder.

or try to "Reset to default" also
    (in the MUI's context menu)

There is a newer version of MUI already -> http://www.stuntz.com/muibeta_20071130.lha.

I have hope that the next MUI beta would have slim context menus back. AFAIK it looks OK with MorphOS2.0.

I found out why context menu is so big. Size of menus entries depends on size of used images, so if you want to have a slim menu use a small skin/ambient context menu images :).
