Hi, my name is tokai and some of you know me maybe from the #morphos channel on irc.freenode.net or as author of the most famous MorphOS program ever: Moo (yes, the evil trojan.. eh' u don't know it? wtf.)... and if you don't know me... well doesn't matter ;-)

Anyway... I have some time at my hands next week and no idea yet what I shall do. So it is up to you to help me to decide. :-)

    Hi Tokai,

I voted for biking, it's fun and healthy :-)

    I wouldn't mind a port of Stella though :-D

well, since you didn't mention your soon-to-be-updated-site (I'd vote for a completion in just two more weeks), I'd like an updated version of MLD.

I suggest you to visit a silent place, like a alpine hut for one month. There should stand up at 0400 and go to bed at 2200. You should take a bath each morging and you should eat very less (milk, fruits) this time. Every week you should fast one day, only drinking water. You should should clean the mind from any material and you should start to seriously study some vedic-scriptures like the Bhagavad-gita. After three weeks you should begin to analyse the acquired knowledge with the help of the sharp intelligence gained by the circumstances.

After this time, you will become a great gain, that is for sure :)

I voted (tadam!) Statline.. only because I know the possibilities what to add in it are limited only by imagination.

    I have voted Ambient.

Maybe it could be possible to have something similar to TortoiseCVS or TortoiseSVN?

It would be a matter of being able to "mark" a directory to work with CVS and showing some popup menus when you press the right mouse button when you select some files. And adding some graphics like TortoiseCVS to show if a file has changed or the CVS is updated with it, to upload the files, etc. And maybe something to see the DIFFs in a comfortable way.

It would be a nice improvement in Ambient to be able to add graphics for the toolbar icons dragging the gfx or with an ASL requester instead of copying the gfx to envarc or the ambient directory (can't remember where the files go).

Or maybe something cool like 3D acceleration for Ambient. Even if it's very fast it could become even faster.

Yikes Tokai, never ask such Questions, you might get an answer *hehe*
Here is mine, a long Tokai Wishlist (unfortunatelly I couldn t decide either ;) )
Start with Ambient, I know I sound like an old record, but I really would love to see
the 128x128 Icon sizes back. Some Gui work wouldn t hurt either ;)
(You might have guessed that I am also no great fan of editing textfiles as prefs ;))

New statline version, I am not sure, but iirc there was allready something to monitor
network trafic, did you release this? Some Eyecandy would be nice too, but I guess in the
end this would lead to an entirely new program.

Fix existing Software well, I would love to see a new Snes9x starter Version, since Mui4
various sorting options in filerequester are possible, but that lead to some minor problems
with the qickstartlist, when files are sorted by size for example, they are also sorted by
size in the quickstartlist, unfortunatelly, without an own sorting option, so a small sorting
funktion via rightclick would be cool. Oh and did I mention the screenshot functionality? ;)
(Or rom information window and such ;) )

port an existing app, well for me as an emufan, a port of
    Ucon
would be nice :) There exists an Amigaversion even, but it crashes from time to
time, also it behaves a bit to unixish for a "simple" app (requires unixpaths for storing dat files
and so on) so a "morphied" version would be very handy, a Gui would be sugar ;)

Oh btw, what about gnuboy? afaik there is still this overlay problem, however it works
nice with even without it. But Gui and such would be nice... ;)

Regarding Emulation there is much stuff left anyway, Gui for Genrator, or even a new
Genesis Emulator, perhaps Gens would be possible
one day or a port of FCE Ultra (or
    Handy
and so on (there are much more of course but thats allready enough I guess ;) )

Well you see, much on my "tokai wishlist" ;) however in the end for your health and such, it
would be better go for biking ;)

"bloat.. indeed. not everyone wants to waste so much ressources (cpu, memory and screenspace) for some system stats. :)"

That's just my setup. You can make it look like whatever you want. Even some poor text only layout without fancy gauges and graphs is possible :-)

    Hi,

I voted for "something else" after reading, that you are already working on an FLAC plugin for ANR.

In this case I can safely ignore the source that exists on my HD (haven't had time anyway to dig into it deeper) and wait for your version. :-)

What about some crazy new program?

Maybe some program with support to MSN voice or SKYPE VOIP (Voice Over IP) program for MorphOS/Pegasos?

This will be very cool and will bring us in new century eliminating another gap with WC, Linduxx, and (w)Affle computers.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for all the votes and ideas (some are doable, others not... at least not in one week. ;).

As porting some random app and doing stuff for Ambient are in lead currently with 7 votes each I'll go for that. :)

I have some random program in mind which I wanted to use on MorphOS since ages. The porting includes doing something with AHI (which is completly new to me) and research of 68k assembly parts... so its some challenge. I will not tell the name of the program until it starts on MorphOS... just in case I fail completly. I don't want too look like an idiot in that case. :-P

    I'll keep you up-to-date.

    regards,
    tokai
