Well as the Topic says, is it possible to localize Ambient? Or is it allready localized but the locale Files are just missing? If so, is it possible to create my own? How?

Ambient supports localization but everything is not localized yet. Maybe in Ambient 1.42.

This is a must, but I need Polytonic Greek. I sthere any word whether socalisations will ever come to fruition? I ask as Pegasos 1's will make their way to Greece soon (as according to BBRV's new Blog), so a Polytonic Greek capability is of utmost importance :-D

Sorry to bump up this oldish thread, but I really need to find out! :-)

Why not open a bounty to finish Ambient localisation ?
That would at least make a realistic one.

That's a really good idea, actually! This is something within reach, and would be of interest to lots of people. If you want your own language supported, throw in some dollars in the bucket, and it might actually happen! :-)

hehe, true, I do live in Oz, it is quite important (actually forms a major component) in my line of work, especially in its Polytonic form, not so much in its modern Monotonic form.

    -edit-

re: Bounty: I'll be sure to put in cash for this if it is put forth.8-)

Why dont make MorphOS unicode (utf-8) compatible? Its backwardcompatible, and have suberp support for different signs and letters.

    Just an idea,...

Unicode support into MorphOS could be the best thing for supporting a lot of languages, it's very interesting, a bounty petition is needed.

About bounties, mos team developers can get the money if they do it, no?

Wont' you need to rewrite large parts of the OS and apps to get UTF-ū supported ? Or maybe new APIs would be enough ?
