Hello

First time trying to install MorphOS on Mac mini G4 and I get the following message (click on jpg)

I've selected filesystem as HFS and (I think I) copied the boot.img as reported in this post: https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=8946&forum=9

But still I got stuck at the "Not a DOS disk" step. What to do? Thanks.

Yeah format should help !!

A few side notes:
The "boot" partition has to be 64MB (don't ask me why)

The "system" partition (read where all of MorphOS that is not boot.img is installed too) should be set to SFS.

If you haven't used MorphOS before it's easy to miss such things. HDConfig allows you to set the filesystem to be used, but doesn't actually format it for you.

In HDConfig make the HFS partition about 64MB in size (doesn't need to be exactly 64MB though) and resize the other partition to take up the remaining space. (Boot is only used to store data used during booting, so making it so big is just wasted of disk space).

After saving your changes and existing HDConfig, right-click on the desktop and select Utilitiies>Format Disk from the menus. Format both your partitions with the appropriate filesytems.

You should be good to continue on from there with the installer.

Thank you for all the comments. I've made it install using the tutorial "Dual boot MorphOS Mac OS X"

I guess I got stuck because MorphOS installation required more attention to detail in HDD partitioning. Now it works. But it seems now I have to install some applications on it.

As a new user I would suggest to simply install Grunch, which provides tons of applications with automatic install an deinstall.
