I am trying to setup Basilisk II (latest version) but I can't get it to boot the Mac OS 8.1 CD. The emulator starts fine and the grey icon with the disk and the question mark in the middle apperars but then nothing happens.

This is what I have done

In the emulation tab I have selected the Quadra 900 ROM and 256MB of system RAM (proberbly a bit much).

In communication I have selected sungem_eth.device no unit number (is that right?)

In the SCSI tab i have done nothing (proberbly wrong)

In the Volumes tab I have added a Mac volume (File called Mac OS8.1 with the size of 1024 MB) and written CD0 in CD-ROM device and 1 in Unit and marked Boot from CD.

Anybody who can tell me what I am dooing wrong or can give a short discription on what they have done?

Found a solutions!

Made a OS7.5.5 virtualdisk on Windows, transferred and started. Works fine.

Two problems left?

I still can't access my CD-ROM. See my settings form my first post?

I am still fiddeling with network access. Any tips would be appreciated.

MorphOS doesn't see the CD and neither does Basilisk (no system /disk/ error). The CD is fine, visible under OSX.

Did you try with the older version of Basilisk? The newest one (from Aminet) will not boot from CD but the older one - yes. I won't be able to tell you which version now as my desk is full of my A1200 in the middle of modding ;)
