Using a separate FFS partition for your boot.img is not really necessary unless you're using a Peg1, the OF boot command needs to know where the boot.img is located, so if "ls hd:0" in OF shows your boot.img, that command should work.
Now I don't know how your hdd is partitioned, so until you give a little more info there's not much else I can tell you.
For an efika a single SFS (or FFS if you prefer that) partition for boot.img and MorphOS is the prefered setup, also the installer expects that for update installs.

ok i have 9 partitions 0. boot just over 4gb 1. morphos boot/root 2. morphOs Home/Data 3. Fat for data between morph n linux 4. Suse Root 5. Suse Home 6. Debain Root 7. Debin Home 8. Linux Swap
i was going to use boot for the loaders i think the table expains its self...
how im i best installing MorphOs and what disk format?..where would boot.img go?..
