    The new mplayer gui is a improvement for MorphOS.

    I only have one problems. Sometimes the sound, and i think its only the sounds, gets played in slow motion.
    It sounds a bit like when i forgot to add the 56khz screenmode on A4K and trying to play 16bit sound.

    Do i need to set the ahi output in the config file?

    @digiman,

    the gui has nothing to do with audio code though. But you may as well try in shell mode and see if it still occurs.

    In any case, audio code hasn't changed for months (except small and unrelated adjustments), so what you're experiencing might just be caused by a very specific file that gets played at wrong speed for some reason. So it would be a good idea to provide that file.

    First of all merci for your great work !!

    But I also have a question: I?d like to start mplayer with gui enabled, but it should it be hidden at startup. Is this possible ?

    assuming you use the integrated mode (gui and video in same window), it's possible, yes. Go to Options->GUI menu and uncheck "Show GUI". Then select "Save Settings" in Options menu (middle mouse button is also a shortcut for this "show gui" toggle). Note that GUI will be enforced for audio-only files.

    @Fab

    thx that worked. integrated mode only seems to make sense in fullscreen mode, in window mode video is not shown in its real resolution but shrinked to the max. size defined for the MUI window. But as I want to use fullscreen, no problem....

    I configured my MorphOS system to automatically play an inserted Video DVD at early bootup process - further booting is stopped in this case - or later when inserted after Desktop , Magellan, has appeared.

    In most cases main video track is number 1, so GUI by default is not needed, but in other cases its handy to make it appear when needed...

    Must admit that MOS is my favourite platform for playing media files... ! Maybe one day eclipsis becomes true...dream on...

    window mode can also show video in its original dimensions (video->window dimension menu setting).

    As for your usage (as well as mine actually), GUI isn't very useful. But it can be handy if you deal with netstreams or playlists (or if you can't remember the hotkeys :)).

    Tadaa, ze Fab has uploaded a new version:

    http://fabportnawak.free.fr/mplayer/MPlayer-1.0-svn-2008.12.15.lha

    And for all wondering what has changed:

    History (morphos specific):
    ---------------------------

    15.12.2008
    - Updated to 08.12.2008 svn (r28114). Amongst other things, it adds support for
    realvideo 9/10 files.

    * GUI module:
    - Playlist titles can now be rearranged by drag'n'drop. They can also be
    sorted by clicking column header.
    - Added a "remove all" (except currently played file) button in playlist
    window.
    - Fixed an issue with playlists loading.
    - Added repeat title/playlist option.
    - Status would sometimes not be updated properly. Fixed
    - Added a DVD menu icon in DVDNav mode. Please someone draw a proper one. :)

    * General:
    - Enabled and fixed (hopefully) Altivec runtime detection, to avoid having
    two binaries. Since MPlayer is not perfect in this regard, let me know if
    by any chance, you encounter an altivec exception on G3 or Efika.
    - Added support for 422P and YUY2 pixel formats that avoid unnecessary
    conversions (i.e faster).
    - In overlay mode, don't crash if movie width isn't supported by the graphic
    card (older/cheaper radeon models don't support overlay sources larger
    than 1536 pixels).

    Thanx Fab :-)

    TBH, I'm not exactly sure what you're doing, but if you look at the text file you get from that site, there is an rtsp: url you should be able to open with mplayer. Now the RV30 stream from that site doesn't seem to be supported so you'll probably only get audio :)

    Isn't it possible to add some empty buttons or a configurable pulldown menu that the user can configure with the options he wants ? Just an idea ?

    @xyphoid,

    Like golem said, you can just extract the actual rtsp link and play it. Unfortunately, you're really unlucky, it seems mplayer supports rv10, rv20, rv40, but not rv30. And guess what, your link uses rv30, so you'll just have the sound. :)

    @Oepabakkes

    Your suggestion couldn't work with some options or contexts (especially if you want to have runtime options).

    But if you need to add some option, you can always add it in conf/config.
