    Hey guys

I am having a problem with fonts and Sputnik with Morphos2. I run the tool that is in the Sputnik drawer and it seems like the fonts were installed in a directory, but in Sputnik itself I have the worse looking 80s type fonts...

    Please help its beyond annoying.

No - bad as in 1980s fonts... Isnt Sputnik's engine supposed to read the fonts the site uses and use that? I think this is the problem.. Do I need to install TTE?

This is from a default standard Morphos2 install.

    Thanks! and good work!

    yay butters!

Not that you are overly precise in describing your problem, but my guess is that the default fonts setting do not fit your taste. I changed them as follows (go to Prefs... -> Fonts):
    Minimal font size: 12
    Minimal logical font size: 9
    Default font size: 15
    Default fixed font size: 15

Standard font family: Times New Roman
    Fixed font family: Courier New
Serif font family: Times New Roman
SansSerif font family: Comic Sans MS
    Cursive font family: Courier New
    Fantasy font family: Verdana

    YMMV

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

Sputnik won't install any fonts that site uses automatically. And AFAIK no browser does that. If some site uses some specific font, you have to manually add it to "ttengine2.database" and reboot.

Back in the day, I had additional fonts in AmigaOS by means of "ASSIGN FONTS: ADD". This way, I could have additional fonts in separate places, without clogging my SYS partition.
Does this work in MorphOS? Does TTEngine library search further in multiple assigns?
Perhaps you'll say that "ttengine.library" already allows to put fonts anywhere, but I'd like them all in the FONTS assign.
Is this multiple assign search something deep in the system, and so every program opening a file benefits from it?

TTEngine only uses fonts defined in "ttengine2.database" Where *.ttf files are stored is not important as long as filepaths given in "ttengine2.database" are right.

Of course. There's no reason why it shouldn't.

MorphOS resembles AmigaOS, so yes, this functionality is of course there.
