I want to pack a dir with a lot off whdload games.
It is 1.4 GB now and it must fit onto a cd.
I tried peperoni and the lha from aminet(68k) but this just freezes? and no build up off the archive.
I also tried with .zip (68k?) and this workes it seems but to great archive to fit onto cd.
I also tried Diropus with a small file first this works with lha but after packing freezes.
What can I use best and works?

You'll find a working LhA included with MorphOS, it doesn't feature a GUI, though you should be able to use it with DOpus. tar + bzip2 should offer better compression than LhA, can't say if it'll compress the files enough to fit a cd... oh.. 7zip might offer the best compression, no gui and lots of command line switches to have fun with.

It's quite easy to use Ambient as a GUI for packers ;). There is also one packer with GUI called Kompaktor.

Where can I get compactor?
I tried with the commandline but it won't take the subdirs into the archive.
I tried like this: lha a ram:packed game:gamedir/
This workes for all files but not for the complete homedir including the subdirs.
Strange that same lha freezes with diropus4.

You forgot the -r (recursive) option. Your example should be:
lha -r a ram:packed game:gamedir/

I want packer zip, rar with GIU ...
