    I'm having trouble play dvd's.

I recently update all my player files (Mplayer, devedie, tdplayer)

Now I can't get a dvd to play. Both Devedie and TDplayer do nothing when trying to play a dvd.

Snoopdos shows trying to load a config file. There is a config file in the mplayer folder.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Matt

DVD args have changed at version 1.x.

    from:

    -dvd {title}

    to:

    dvd://{title}

    (Read for more the Readme_1.0-PRE4.)

I'm use modified playDVD to play DVD.

    http://www.christianrosentreter.com/download/tools/playdvd-1.2.lha

old call in playDVD (mplayer 0.x):

    mplayer -dvd {title} -dvd-device ide.device:$unit $sub $aud -framedrop

new call in playDVD (mplayer 1.x):

    mplayer dvd://{title} -dvd-device ide.device:$unit $sub $aud -framedrop -autosync 30

...which reminds me, maybe I should finally fix mDVD to work with new mplayer argument format :-)

Being arexx code, almost anyone could do that, I guess :-)

But I'll see my code when I get home from work...

Did you set "mplayer executable is v1.0+" in settings->mplayer/others of TDmplayerGUI? This option is important for DVD playback.

    Hi all,

MPlayer of the "mplayer1.0rc1.lha" archive, some animations are not
entirely played, they are cutt off. So, i use the MPlayer from the
    "mplayer1.0pre8-test.lha" archive again.

    Hi Armo:

I'm not able to play dvd's with TDmplayerGUI, I do have the option set and dvd playback doesn't work.

I ran snoopdos and it fails:

    /user/local/etc/mplayer/inpu
    dvd.ifo
    dvd.rar
    dvd.rar
    dvd.idx
    dvd.rar
    dvd.rar
    ENV:DVDCSS_METHOD
    ENV:DVDCSS_VERBOSE
    ENV:DVDCSS_CACHE
    ENV:DVDCSS_RAW_DEVICE

A window pops up and closes before I can read it...

I am able to now play dvd's with mplayer (thanks guys!)

    Hi matt3

If you have DVD connected to Pegasos as other than First-Slave (unit 1) then add in additional options "-dvd-device ide.device:$unit", where $unit is your unit :-)
Next version of TDmplayerGUI will have appropriate settings for DVD/VideoCD device:unit.

I got the problem with DVD playback recently that audio is jittery and
extremely noisy (far too bad to watch a movie). If I give the -ao
ahi_dvd command it plays fine though, I suppose it uses the low level
    ahi output as default.
