on aminet is available a version of gcc for morphos to port any mos program to 68k..any mos application :)

on 68k we await a good browser, even really "Sputnik" :p

Well... you can backport quite a few simple apps this way to 68k, but many MorphOS applications make use of MorphOS-only features which are simply not available on 68k AmigaOS (new exec features, new MUI features etc.), so fixing an App using that features to run on stone old crap not only requires much time, but also adds a lot pointless extra crap to the sourcecode (which in the end makes it harder to maintain).

If an author choosed to still support 68k he does so already, there is no need to asking for that. I can't speak for Marcik, but I doubth you'll see Sputnik on 68k very soon (if at all). It needs a lot updates on MorphOS already (it doesn't run with plain MorphOS 1.4.5 installation) to run at all.

People move ahead. :) So if you want modern Featurs in an Amiga-alike environment you only have one choice: get MorphOS compatible hardware.

As for 10 years, well the last 'hardware' update I got was from 30-12-2006 (WinUAE 1.3.4), not that far in the past

i hope at least in a porting of mplayer for 68k, because froggerNG is too old ..and it is shareware :(

Yes 68k is the Java of AMIGA'ish OS'es, runs on 68k (obviously) PPC and x86 under AOS, UAE, MorphOS and OS4.
