    Hi peeps,

Is it possible someone could clear this up for me.

Has anyone got payback running as it keeps complaing about the "audio.device not found", any soloutions?

second question, im using the voodoo3 agp, warp3d test runs fine, but no warp3d program runs, can anyone claim that they have a warp3d product running and how?

    thanks again people

i await with baited breath :-?

I sent an email to payback support asking(Begging ;-) ) for AHI version of Payback-PPC. I dont see the reason for not making AHI-version because they have done versions for n+1 different platforms.

    Waiting for feedback from them...

Well someone should make a dummy audio
device, it would make lot's of other
software run on morphos too, i know
    a redirecting audio.device to ahi.device
    would be much cooler. :)

Why not ask Berny Meyer, if it's possible to port "Puhderbaer" (Amithlon) 2 morphos. AFAIK "Puhderbaer" is doing exactly this (redirecting audio.device).

    @tokai

    Not really ....

For some reason Puh redirect all SW that hits the HW, with the
    exception of the audio.device .....

Yes, Payback runs fine with Amithlon. I quess Amithlon has some audio.device because Payback works . It runs even without Puhderbaer so that removes the possibility that Puhderbaer "replaces" audio.device.

The dummy audio.device would be nice and should be added to MOS. Many programs would start working as Felix said.

Few programs that didnt work because absence of audio.device:

-AdoomPPC(there were other ports too that didnt work)
-Many of the Quake 1 ports didnt work(Actually I didnt get any port to work but the fault was not allways because of audio.device)
-Some ports of Hexen and Heretic(?) didnt work.
    -Few PPC-demos

AFAIK Piru is working on an audio.device -> AHI Wrapper, but i might be wrong here. In any case, i wouldn`t expect too much from it, since lots of Games are just using audio.device to allocate the audio channels and from then on use direct Hardware Access. Therefore puhderbaer would be the only solution, but unfortunately there is no mmu.lib for morphos.

When I tried out, Payback started here on my Pegasos with software render. I'll check it again some day.

Seems be good the audio.device to AHI wrapper... and could be
integrated the feature as a optional option on next mos version? ;)
