I thought the TCP/IP task was ready for a long time.
What is probably not ready is : (from the little I can guess, juste to give an example)
- a better tinyGL
- MUI 4 not alpha (probably doesn't need much more work)
- A really complete Ambient (the most important is done)
- Poseidon 3 (should be ready soon)
...
So all those components must be finished before we see MOS 1.5. :)
Of course, I mostly underlined some (more or less) external contributions, because I'm not close to any MOS core developer ;) But at least those things are good enough reasons to postpone the MOS 1.5 commercial release.
But why, oh why, don't we get any kind of progress report - anything, as vague as it could be. When there were the MOS Team-Genesi-Zapek issues, I could understand. But now ? :) Because, yes, it hurts the project, if they want to sell it :)
(No, I don't complain, I don't particularly personally need new features, I already don't have enough time to do what I want to :)
Also I realize the luck we have to have such an experienced team of persons almost just working for a few of us and accepting not to earn anything.
