    I've released new BasiliskII 0.9.2 for MorphOS:

    BasiliskII.lha (470K)
    BasiliskII-src.lha (800K)

    Changes in Basilisk 0.9.2 MorphOS version:
    * Can create hardfiles in GUI
    * Can quit emulator at anytime ("emergency quit")
    * Optimized speed
    * Added frameskip option

    There is also small fix for OS4Emu 1.7:

    Since our #az webmaster is MIA it is available from my homepage
    os4emu-update.lha (5K)

    This fixes issues in ELF loader.

    That is all for now. I'm off to sauna, cu in Monday :-)

    With the frameskip option Basilisk is now much faster but it still have color problems with 8bit full-screen mode:-(
    Is it now possible to install MacOS 8?

    Your work is much appreciated itix, thanks man.

    I wonder what that color problem could be... because here colours seem to be just fine. :-?

    MacOS 8 doesnt work still. It just hits endlessly somewhere in the CPU emulation code. I suspect something is not patched properly in MacROM code but fixing this is beyond my skills. Or maybe it is a bug in UAE's CPU emulation. Impossible to know. Sometimes MacOS 7.x mode hits too at system init phase but not always.

    Merging MorphOS code by BasiliskII 1.0 code could fix some problems. 0.9.2 already got some code from 1.0 fork but final merging is tedious job.

    Great job, itix. I especially like that I can now create hardfiles from the gui.

    V 0.9.2 does not like my original OS 8 CD anymore... V 0.9.1 did like it, but the new version keeps telling me that the CD is write protected. Hm...

    @itix

    It's more of a palette problem which I have from the first release, it looks like colors which have to be white are black and the black ones are white.
    This problem only exists in 8bit full-screen mode not in 24bit or windowed mode.
    I did try to solve the problem by,

    * Test different Mac-rom versions
    * Replace my Radeon 8500LE with 9000Pro, Voodoo 5000 and 4500
    * Replace Radeon monitor driver and cgxvideo.library with ones from MOS 1.4.2

    Nothing did help :-(

    I haven't installed OS4Emu 1.7 until now. But i did it now, including the update, and tried Zero by Universe again, because according to the readme, P96 emulation is now fixed, to avoid buggy colours (wrong endianness). But the demo still has "reversed" colours, with wrong byteorder here, just like with previous OS4Emu. I've 1.4.5, Voodoo4/4500 PCI. Hints?

    @Chain-Q

    You probably lack suitable 16bit display mode. It is quite difficult to remember after so many months but I recall Zero assumes little endian hicolor screen. IIRC in real OS4 all screen modes are always byte swapped but in MOS this is somewhat random.

    It could be nice use Basilik II as base. What about including MorphOS code into the Basilik II 1.0 CVS?

    @timofonic

    It is my intention to do so but it needs lot of manual adjusting. Internals of Basilisk II have changed etc etc.
