It will only run on the Pegasos computer. Check out pegasosppc.com for
more info. It comes free with the system when you buy one. Welcome to

Check out a dealer near you. They are cheaper than buying it directly
    from this webstore.

I'd recommend Pegasos 1 only if you get one with April 2 and memory, and you get it for a cheap price.
(Memory for Pegasos 1 is MUCH more expensive than memory for Pegasos 2)

I would not recommend a Pegasos1 to anyone. Sure, they may work, but the Pegasos2 is so much better and it is still supported. If you get a Peg1 for free, then OK, but I would *still* recommend getting a Peg2 also! :-)

    @ wasisme

MorphOS currently only comes bundled with the Pegasos computer. Choose a dealer close to you from this page (or click "Enter Here" in the right row to get to Genesi's own webstore):

    http://www.pegasosppc.com/purchase.php

If you buy a pre-built system (like a Pegasos Open Desktop Workstation (ODW) or something the dealer has put together), then you will most certainly get MorphOS pre-installed as well as a CD. If you buy a motherboard only then there is of course no way to pre-install the OS so you will get the CD only! ;-)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

i'd recommend a second-hand Pegasos 1 if you plan only to use MorphOS or don't know much about the Pegasos in general. The Peg 2 is kinda expensive and it maybe won't fulfill your needs. Unless you plan to use it under Linux, then the Peg 2 would be much better.
Give a try with the Peg1 first, you'd still be able to resell it later for a Peg2.

I'm still very happy with my Peg1/MorphOS and i don't care at all not being able to run some linux s**t.

I'm running (Pegasos II) 1 Gig, 512 Ram, ATI Radeon 9200 Se,
Soundblaster Live!,400 Gig HDSpace. Running MorphOS, Yellow Dog Linux,
    GNU/Debian Linux.

I like Yellow Dog Linux best, It's a only PPC based linux. 100%
working and stabel unlike GNU/Debian Linux.
Yellow Dog is made Only for Pegasos2, so u get my drift.

Good luck hunting! :) Metroid Prime rules, when do we get Gamecube
    emulator for morphos??

sure i am able to run Debian. And I did. And it was damn slow.
Most recent linux stuff (like the live game CD, YellowDog, Gentoo... ) don't work on Peg1.

YellowDog works after some tricks during install. And Gentoo works out-of-box.

    - nothing about Peg 1 on Gentoo

    - that yellow dog for Peg1 tutorial is a joke. Tried it many times without success and i don't know anyone who succeeded in installing it.

I knew these links and thought you'd have some new stuff. :-(

Gentoo installation on Peg1 is exactly the same as on Peg2 (atleast in 2004 version they were the same - I've installed gentoo without any problems).

Hmm, now I remeber that I had to do some things that wasn't written in this manual, but can't exactly remeber what (i've installed it long time ago).
