Hello MorphOS people. I've just been looking at the statistics for my website this month and I've got (on 18th Feb) 33919 hits with the user agent "MorphOSMedia-http.stream/50.16" :-o

I'm sure you'll be able to let me know what this is and why it's giving me this many hits in only 18 days.

    Thanks for any help,

    Regards,
    Daniel

http.stream is a component of MOS Media - subsystem for media streaming in MorphOS. It allows for easy access to network resources via HTTP/1.1 protocol. One of applications using it is SeventhSense, which is a website update scanner. It may explain high number of hits. If you find http.stream causes problems for you site (like HTTP protocol violation or similar behaviour) please let me know at [krashan at teleinfo dot pb dot bialystok dot pl], I will be able to fix the code.

Is there a way to set the "browser" so that applications can identify themselves other than as a generic class?

    Maybe

    http.stream/50.16 (TaskName; MorphOS 51.10; Badgers 1.0) ?

I suppose grabbing the task name will suck when you use it from a subtask like "My Network Handler #10" :)

Current http.stream has no such possibility, but an attribute for this can be (and will be) added. Thanks for the suggestion.
