I have a PegII with Debian and Kernel 2.6.4 installed.
When using the onboard soundchip, then "artds" (the sound daemon in KDE) uses >80% CPU time. To avoid this I'm using my SB Live in the PegII, which works great in MorphOS.
Now I have two questions:
1. How can I configure Debian to use the SB Live instead of the onboard soundchip?
2. Is there a workaround for "artsd" using so much CPU time when enabling the onboard sound? MorphOS needs only <1% for the soundchip, so what is wrong?
