I am running beta4 of Debian on my Peg II and did an apt-get update to
the system a couple of days ago. Now, eth0 isn't found and I've lost
all my x-windows systems except the failsafe gnome gui. Dunno what
the heck happened but I'm in a mess.

Guess first thing would be to be able to correct the eth0 problem. Is
there a simple fix that anyone would know of to do this?

    Thanks.

I got eth0 back by using the PegII 2.6.4 kernel to boot the system...

Will give it a try, thanks. I had heard that creating an alias in a
file somewhere would also recover it, but haven't had too many
specifics on this. Was hoping someone had done this.
