    Yes, it works. I replaced the original cgxboot.library with this tool a long time ago..

    Is there a way to remove the boot picture completely and save boot
    time? Because I see it only 0,5 seconds anyways...

    I have created a small program that can do the inverse operation (ie.: extracts gif file from the library)

    you don't put a picture in the lib, but create a new lib from a pic, with the tool mentioned above.
    but the tool only accepts special gifs, so start your favourite gfx-app and convert and filter a little bit

    I just used the tool to make the bootpic from the gallery here. Its nice, but is only shown for like a second. Good app though.
