You're amazing. The presentation software perfectly fills the gap in the office suite. I'm rooting for this project.

What level of PowerPoint compatibility would you ultimately like to achieve?
    1. None (only working in the MorphOS environment)
    2. Ability to export to .PPTx
    3. Ability to import from .PPTx
    4. Export and import to and from .PPTx?

Regardless of the answer, I think the idea is great. I noticed the PDF icon, so exporting to .PPTx is also theoretically possible using online tools: https://pdfguru.com/app/pdf-to-pptx

As for the name: Diapos. Sounds great for me.
Mac mini G4@1,5GHz silent upgrade + Xerox Phaser 3140 + EPSON Perfection 1240U
    Commodore C64C + 2 x 1541II + Datasette + SD-Box

I really miss draggable screens... do you? I guess I'm in the minority unfortunately.

Nothing against your effort, but we have quite good presentation software already: The Hollywood Designer.
    Quite powerful.

Indeed, Designer is a great program. It has only two drawbacks: I can't open a presentation created in it in PowerPoint, and I can't open a presentation created in PowerPoint in it.

@ tomasz direct quote from Hollywood - Designer page:

"The Hollywood Designer is currently only available for Amiga compatible systems. Executables for Windows, macOS, and Linux can be compiled just fine with the Amiga version of Hollywood Designer, though."

So, a Designer script can be viewed on Windows, and other systems, once it has been compiled. 8-D

Though obviously not directly in PowerPoint or Keynote, etc.. :-( Well not as yet! ;-)

I only mention it, just in case you weren't aware of this option of viewing Designer files on other OS's.

This thread isn't about Designer, so there's no point in speculating about its pros and cons. Papiosaur presented his proposal, and I may have scared him a bit by asking about PowerPoint compatibility. It would actually be nice to have at least a simple presentation program that could be saved in the RTF format, which probably isn't difficult, since it's already available in its "big brother," Stylos. RTF can be converted to PPTX using online tools.

Diapos does not intend to be a competitor of Designer who is a very powerfull presentation software with many options. Diapos will be more simple, the goal here is too have some import/export compatiblities with external formats.
