It's actually great that I can visit almost every website out there with Wayfarer. Superb.
But unfortunately, it's also frustrating how often you get slowed down while surfing and have to wait forever...

I appreciate all the time and work invested in this great project. If I had a wish: please check if there are any options to accelerate the browsing.
Maybe a query asking whether I want to load all content. And which content.

It's great when I can visit all the websites, but somehow also quite useless when it takes so long.

I see those system under $200 and even $100, so it will be a cheap system. I recommend using 2 displays if you want to use it for productivity. There are some videos out there on the YT by Chris Edwards and others that can give you an idea of browsing performance on those systems.

YMMV, but I'm on wayfarer all day on my 2.5 PCIe PM and for most of my browsing is a nice experience for very intensive sites it will a burden.

Wayfarer 10.6 is now available for download. This version updates WebKit to WebKitGTK 2.48.6 and addresses several major issues.

CSS Gradients are now fixed to render correctly. Settings defaults are now always correctly updated to include latest Youtube presets.

Additionally, the simplified Youtube interface moved from now defunct youtube-nocookie.com onto a self-hosted solution. The first time you navigate to youtube.com or m.youtube.com, you will be asked which interface to pick for video playback. Choose Simple mode to enjoy fast load times on a bare-bones youtube player.

Well you made my day

The CSS bug took a lot of time and effort to find - I was close to giving up tbh. Ended up breaking and retiring my hackintosh after trying to update it to latest macOS, replacing it with a M4 mini all so that I could step through the code in XCode. Luckily, it seems that this was also the main blocker I've found with Wayfarer 11 (WebKitGTK 2.50.0), so I can resume the work on that port now.

Thank you very much for the update, jacadcaps! Working fine on my little guy (1.25 Ghz Mac Mini G4), updating went without a hitch. Awesome effort! (I believe we say that too rarely, so I had to post this there :) )

Just one thing stays the same: after I have logged out here, it is written:

Only the "ü" doesn't seems to work. Can the other German guys here confirm that?

At least the german strings seem to be encoded in UTF8 but displayed in ISO-8859(-1), so any characters which are not part of the legacy US-ASCII character set are affected (like ä,ö,ü,ß and lots of others). If that is some limitation of the forum software and/or its encoding of HTML pages, I don't know ...
